A while back, I made a post about inkey list’s succinic acid treatment. I was shocked when I came to know about that one. I like the brand philosophy and everything but their marketing is all deceiving. It becomes more obvious day and day.

If you are using their retinol, then I have a bad news for you. It’s not actually 1% retinol, it’s 1% retistar compound. Retistar is basically a stable retinol mixed with vitamin E and castor oil. 1% retistar contains 0.05% retinol (according to their makers). They recently updated this information. To be fair, it also contain 0.5% granactive retinoid and I still think it would be a good product to start retinols. But in the end of the day, it was highly misleading. Also, you can’t name a product retinol if it has 0.05% of it. 

Then, their Fulvic acid breightening cleanser has a tiniest amount of Fulvic acid. I don’t understand it, if you are using such a small amount, why are are you using it as your sell point? Just because it’s one product with fulvic avid? It’s like they think that the consumers are not smart enough to recognize their pattern. 


Do you also know their peptide moisturizer only one type of peptide and also in very small amount? Yet they are calling it peptide moisturizer. I LOVE peptides, I was pretty excited to use this one but I am really disappointed to know the truth behind it. 

I am not a fan of selfless by hyram either. If you don’t know, his products are produced by Inkey list. I was thinking to post about Inkey list but I didn’t want to sound like a hater so I let it all slide. But then Hyram came out with his product named peptide q10 serum. And you guessed it right, it has zero q10,  Like none whatsoever. I equally blame Hyram for this. He’s smart enough to look into ingredients and it’s his responsibility in the end of the day. 

In the end, I actually love affordable brands like The Inkey list and The Ordinary. Elf has also been doing surprisingly well in their skincare department. But I can’t look past The Inkey List’s shady practices anymore. When will they stop doubting intelligence of their consumers. I also think it stands against their whole brand philosophy. They believe in transparency and yet they are being sneaky.

Hi everyone, what type of exfoliation do you prefer? Physical exfoliation or chemical exfoliation? I know most people prefer chemical exfoliants now but I have seen quite a bit of people still raving about physical exfoliation. Please share your thoughts
Also share what products do you use for exfoliation. I just use this peel every week or so. I don’t want to over exfoliate so I don’t add any other product.

Hi, I know picky supports haircare products too so I wanted to start a conversation on hair  issues. I know tons of people are suffering from hair loss and it’s very detrimental for one’s confidence. 

Hairfall is different for everyone. It affects everyone differently. Some people get bald patches and others don’t have noticeable difference. But still it can haunt the one going through it. 

I never knew that I am suffering from hair loss till I joined a group on Facebook about thinning hair. I still don’t know why I joined that group but I am glad I did. I noticed that my hair line is receding badly and I had awful hairfall. I started using taramira oil on my hair and I started seeing tons of baby hair. This motivated me to do more for my hair. I started using minoxidil 5% for my hair and almost after three month, I have noticeably fuller hair. Minoxidil has some side effects and one should look into it before starting it. I am not asking someone to start it without researching it first. If you want detailed discussion about minoxidil, please let me know. But please don’t start it without looking into it first.

There are also some amazing hair oils that can promote hair growth. Rosemary oil compare to minoxidil 2% in its results. Other oils include but not limited to peppermint oil, cedar oil, castor oil, and back seed oil.

Hairfall can be due to multiple reasons. If you want, I can make a detailed post about it too. I researched a lot about my hair so I can share about it. If you feel like that you have more than normal hair fall, it’s always a good idea to see a dermatologist. Also, it’s normal to lose 50-100 strands of hair every day. 

I am attaching my photos. My right is still not fullest but it’s much better than before so I am happy about it anyway.

Jeffree Star launched his skincare brand. I haven’t seen any posts regarding so far. His products look decent especially for a new brand. I am not going to try his products for his awful actions.

Although this product doesn't have artificial fragrance, this product does have scent to it (might be due to lotus flower extract). This mask is sustainable and biodegradable but it still contributes to the waste and it would be nicer to use essence or toner from this range. However, it is a perfect mask to use before an event. 

This brand looks very promising and I really hope that they don't jump on bandwagon of clean beauty. I don't support fear mongering tactics used by brands.

Where should i start…..
It has very strong overpowering scent. I have never smelt anything like this in the cosmetic industry. It almost smells like those minty pain relieving balms.

Texture is really heavy and uncomfortable on the skin. I use petroleum jelly for slugging and this mask is even more uncomfortable. Its should give you an idea

It makes my face sweat, maybe because of its texture

Won’t repurchase

I mean i don’t know about the anti-pollution claims but i liked it as a leave on mask for overnight. I think whole wiping off excess is the wastage of product. Its thick paste like texture which i think should be added to its bad sides. It leaves skin moisturized and soft. Lasts forever

🤍First impression
I have used this product for a week only so I wouldn’t discuss its long terms results.

I wasn’t breaking out much at the time of use of this product except one pimple. The pimple was gone within two days which isn’t normally a case for my acne. I will continue using this product and will post detailed review for acne later.

I like to layer up this product two to three times for better hydration. This product along with Ampoule has visibly made my skin visibly brighter than before. I can see my hyperpigmentation going down as well. It’s so lightweight that it can be easily used for 7 skin method. 

💙Verdict
 Honestly, I am not a toner person but this product changed my views about it. I would definitely recommend it. It’s a great all rounder product
