I'm interested in finding the most effective method for even coverage and heard some methods are better than others however I always end up using my fingertips the most. Which method do you prefer or do you use a mix?

Without Picky I would have never considered  toners to be so effective. Before Picky, I rarely used toners and thought they were kinda unnecessary but after discovering the right ones for my sensitive skin, I now can't go without.

Considering there's been a lot of interest surrounding sunscreens and how to incorporate them into your skincare routine, I wanted to share a helpful tip. I always remember C comes before M in the alphabet to ensure chemical sunscreens are applied first before moisturizers and mineral sunscreens are applied after moisturizers. I choose to only use one at a time however I know some that prefer using both.

Mineral sunscreens contains sunblock such as Zinc oxide or Titanium dioxide while Chemical sunscreens contains oxybenzone, avobenzone and octinoxate.

I must admit I never checked the expiration dates on my makeup items years ago. I always had a favorite that I couldn't stand the thought of throwing away. Since becoming older and more aware, I now keep up with expiration dates.

I'm sure everyone has seen and heard how important sunscreen is however if my experience helps someone in preventing future problems, my time has been well spent.

I was a teenager of the 80's and having that perfect tan was a must. Although I lived in Southern Arizona at that time, I loved being outdoors and frequented tanning beds at least 2-3 times a week. Despite having lighter sensitive skin, I foolishly ignored the negative effects. 30 yrs later I found myself requiring Mohs surgery to remove a squamous cell carcinoma from my face. The procedure lasted for hours consisting of each layer being removed until there were no more cancer cells to be found. I was left with a hole the size of a 50 cent piece on the side of my face. I was absolutely horrified as I glanced at the site but luckily my surgeon also performed plastic surgery and repaired it perfectly. I was very lucky to have found it when I did because if it were allowed to grow larger, my face could have been horribly disfigured or the spread could have been fatal.

EXPERIENCE 
I selected 21-light beige for my fair skin and although it's a tad lighter than what I typically use, I really couldn't tell that much of a difference. It does an incredible job of covering my redness without the need of a green primer.  Besides providing amazing results, it also contains SPF which always gives me peace of mind.
