I need help finding a good cleanser for oily skin. So far I’ve tried the tagged products and they haven’t helped my skin very much at all. Or maybe it’s my moisturizer, I’m not sure. I’m trying to revamp my routine from the beginning. 

What are your recommendations?

Cleanser for Oily Skin

I recently got this retinal eye cream from Beauty of Joseon and I’m a little afraid to play with actives. Does anyone have any advice for beginning retinal? Any time of day I should use it? Do I need to be careful of what I mix it with?

First Time Trying Retinal

So the Bean Essence is also supposed to be an exfoliator in addition to an essence, but I cannot get it to work. After I wash my face I massage it on for around two to three minutes but it never pills like I’ve seen in videos. Have you been able to make it exfoliate? How did you do it? Where am I going wrong?

Now that I’ve got an idea of great cleansers for oily skin, what are some of your favorite moisturizers for oily skin? I’m currently using the tagged cream by Dear, Klairs and it’s treated me well, I’m just looking to find something better suited for my skin.

Moisturizer for Oily Skin

Does anyone else use AC powers? I’m using the one I tagged and it stings, and I honestly don’t remember ever having an AC powder stinging. Does anyone have any recommendations?

AC Powders

This went well into my calming routine and did not break me out. It has a pleasant scent and light watery texture, perfect for layering if you like to layer toner. 

I don’t see a bad thing about this cream. 

This gel like texture cream has 10 cica ingredients and boasts 100 hours of hydration. It also claims to reduce redness. It also brightens, with niacinamide being one of the top ingredients.

I really like the gel like texture of the cream. I have oily skin so actual creams tend to be too heavy for me; this texture is perfect. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave the skin feeling sticky or tacky. My skin stays hydrated and plump all day long. I don’t have redness to test that claim, but I can say my skin has calmed down significantly acne wise. I’ve had less breakouts since using this cream. Since using this the overall appearance of my skin has improved. 



My skin tends to feel oily shortly after using it, so it may not be the best for oily/combination skin. It’s also highly fragranced. 

This cleanser cleanses without stripping my skin. It feels clean without feeling squeaky. The foam is also amazing. A little product makes a lot of foam. 

My favorite moisturizer at the moment. As an oily girl I have to be careful about moisturizers, they can make me oily very fast. This cream moisturizes my skin without leaving me feeling greasy. I can go all day and my skin feels hydrated without turning into an oil slick. A little bit truly goes a long way with this product. It’s been a skin saver this winter. 

Definitely one of my most used lip balms. It’s light and has the perfect amount of color payoff.  It keeps my lips soft and moisturized for hours.
