Recently, a colleague at work asked me "why are you sweating so much?" And I realised he asked that because my whole face was shiny from excessive oil production 🥲 

My whole life I always knew I had oily skin, but I think it got worse recently due to stress.

I do my morning skincare routine at around 6.30 a.m. (foam cleanser - gel moisturiser - sunscreen), and do my makeup after. I use mineral powder to mattify my skin and reduce texture and shine. It looks fine early in the morning...

But my whole face already becomes oily at 10 a.m.

I also considered applying mineral powder throughout the day, but my work (lab-related) makes it hard for me to use make up or even blotting paper due to hygiene issue.

Is there any way to reduce oil production in the first place? Any serums or moisturiser I could use that effectively reduces oil production?

What cleanser do you use? I recently came back to this Coalface Soap from Kayman (local brand in Malaysia). It's good for oily skin as it cleanses deeply without feeling tight. My skin feels truly clean and soft after every wash! ❤️ And I realised my essence and toners absorbs so much better after I've changed to this cleanser. (Makes me think about how much milliliters of skincare products I've wasted because they just sat on my skin evaporated into the air 😅)

Hi guys! I'm almost out of micellar water! I'm thinking of changing up my double cleansing game and use oil/balm cleanser to wash my daily make up away.

If I use a mild/gentle exfoliating toner once daily, do I still need to exfoliate with clay/mud mask once a week? Or is the exfoliating toner enough to remove dead skin cells and do the exfoliation?

To be honest, nothing 🤣. But if I have to say one, the pump shoots very far sometimes so I advice to pump it downwards towards your hand!

I love this serum! This serum calmed my breakputs by soothing my skin. I had hormonal breakout around my jaw and it became worse because of maskne. But this serum eased my breakout area, reducing the redness and itchiness I had before. So I am in LOVE with this serum 🥺❤️. Plus, unlike other gloopy serums, this is more lightweight almost watery gel-like texture. I love that it spreads and absorbs so easily! As an oily skin, it&#39;s hard to find serums that is as lightweight as this one. I had only good experience with this serum! 💕

My big mistake was trying to foam it by mixing with water. 😅 Rather than that, just wet your hands, put a little amount of cleanser on your palm and rub your palms together. Also, don&#39;t cleanse for too long, it can get drying.

Very simple cleanser. Not irritating, not foamy, it suits sensitive skin. Very good for beginners with oily skin.

Pricey for students ;-; To last long, you might need to cut the soap into several small pieces, which is tedious :&#47;. But it&#39;s frustrating because it works and I love it! 😂

It cleanses deeply. I was surprised when I first tried because I felt my face was clean (not in a bad way). The toner and moisturiser I applied afterwards absorbed MUCH better! Again, I was positively shocked. It made me think &quot;oh, so this is what a cleansing should feel like!&quot; 😂

Gave me that healthy glow upon application. Cleared up my hyperpigmentation (dark spots) faster. Works well with the cleansing soap. Lasts long too! No irritation.

It&#39;s hard to find it in Malaysia, and can be a little expensive.

Very hydrating and moisturising. It just does it&#39;s job as a sheet mask so well. The texture of the sheet mask itself also wasn&#39;t irritating to my skin. I stored it in the fridge before putting on for a cooling effect. The next day, I woke up with my skin feeling less oily and more plump! I&#39;m sensitive to alcohol but this didn&#39;t irritate my skin so I think the  amount of alcohol is not too much. I like this. Will repurchase if I ever go to Japan again!
