I preferred fragrance free.

I like to use oils after moisturizer but can be lazy at times. Do you add oil to your moisturizer?

Facial Oil for Combination skin

I received my Skin1004 package!!! I've been eyeing this brand for a long time and was excited when I got selected. Can't wait to try after my patch test.

Patch test areas: 
Left side: toner, Right side: ampoule

- forearms
- neck 
- behind my ears
- forehead 

I used q-tips with soap to clean certain spots to avoid washing my face.

Skin1004: Package just arrived

My skin barrier was damaged in the middle of May. So from mid-May to June, I spent time healing my skin and went back to the basics.

My skin barrier finally healed last week, and  had the chance to try this product.

Below is my review.

Pros:
- I wasn't too sure how it was going to work with my healed barrier, but it left a Glow and SMOOTH skin
- No irritation, and it's my first propolis item. Yah!
- I have some dry spots, and it moisturizes the area
- Doesn't leave my skin oily or heavy
- Works well with vitamin C

Cons:
- it's a bit sticky, but I don't mind. Others might not like it.
- I did patch tests on my forearm, forehead, behind my ears, and neck. However, my neck reacted with light redness, so I didn't use it on my neck area.

Have you ever done a cosmetic allergy test? If not, I strongly recommend it, especially if you keep having reactions. A few years ago, I found out I was allergic to fragrances in lip products (lip glosses and lip tints) and certain chemical sunscreen ingredients (listed below).

Since then, I've been more careful when choosing new products, taking extra time to check ingredient lists to avoid triggering dermatitis on my lips.

Wished it came in a bigger packaging. Great product for winter season but not summer as it may be too heavy.

Now for my review!

The word "ultra" can be intimidating to individuals with combination and oily skin types as it can be too heavy to wear. I'm pleased that the application is more on the lighter side. I have no issues using it in my morning and night routine. The product is easily absorbed, leaving my face hydrated and supple all day, and doesn't leave my t-zone feeling greasy. This is a great product for winter season ♥️♥️♥️.

A bit sticky and have to wait awhile for the feeling to disappear 

It's a lovely serum that helps with hydration and calming. However, it left a sticky feel behind until completely dry. I suggest using it a little at a time.

I also didn't see a difference/improvement in my skin texture. This is probably because I've previously used serums with higher concentrations of niacinamide and other ingredients, which have worked well for me. So, rather than the serum being the problem, it's more that my skin is used to more potent ingredients (which give me faster and more drastic results). To see results that meet my expectations, I need to use the serum for longer than a month to see any changes, so look for a second review later.

For colder months, it's too light for me.

I was surprised when I dispensed the product for the first time because it's more of a gel than a cream. The products contain glycerin, hyaluronic acid, ceramides and centella ingredients to help soothe and strengthen the skin's natural moisture barrier.

The lightweight gel absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn't leave a sticky feeling behind, which is perfect for a summer item. It also doesn't make my forehead shiny all day. However, for colder months, it's too light for me that I have to mix facial oils for extra hydration. If I don't use oils, I'll lather a few layers of other products to make sure my skin doesn't feel dry.

Skin1004 did it again! This brand is starting to become one of my top favorites. I absolutely love this cleansing oil. It is lightweight, rinses off easily, and doesn't leave a greasy residue. Also, the cleansing oil melts all my makeup and sunscreen. I didn't experience any irritation on my skin or stings in the eye area. The best part is that it doesn't strip my moisture barrier and leaves my face hydrated.

It's my first time using a foam product outside of a cleanser. The essence incorporates 21.2% VC Complex, Vitamin E, Ferulic Acid, Niacinamide, and Glutathione ingredients. These components work wonders in revitalizing compromised skin cells, alleviating inflammation, and harmonizing skin tone.

The foam essence sinks into the skin quickly without leaving a sticky residue. Its aftermath leaves my skin looking hydrating, with a luminous glow and an overall brightened complexion!
