I've started using a separate sunscreen around my eyes. I generally prefer chemical sunscreens, but they sadly always make my eyes sting. So I got myself a mineral sunscreen to use just around the eyes. And it's working great! I'm so pleased. No more stinging.

The sunscreen I use around my eyes is the Paula's Choice Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30. And for the rest of my face I'm currently using the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel.

How many of you also use a separate sunscreen around the eyes? What product is it?

Sunscreens tend to sting my eyes. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem. I want to be able to apply my sunscreen around the eyes, because that's an area that skin cancers can occur in, and I also want to protect that area from premature aging.

The Purito Green Level Unscented Sun didn't sting my eyes, but I'm sure most people know what happened with that one. It's not actually SPF50. I haven't been able to find a sunscreen after that that doesn't sting my eyes.

I've tried three different sunscreens by Altruist (the linked ones), and the P20 Kids SPF 50. They all sting for me.

Mineral sunscreens would probably minimize eye irritation, but I'd really prefer a chemical one if possible.

Do you also have this problem with sunscreens? Have you found chemical sunscreens that don't sting your eyes?

This cleansing oil has a smell that really reminds me of chicken grease for some reason, and that&#39;s kind of gross. I guess the smell actually just comes from the olive oil, but I definitely find it off-putting. This is the main reason I don&#39;t love this product.

The cleanser also could do a better job of removing my waterproof eyeliner and mascara. It often doesn&#39;t fully get those off.

The packaging is convenient for use at home, but I couldn&#39;t take it with me anywhere if I needed to, because the pump can&#39;t be locked or closed.

Glides easily over the skin and emulsifies nicely. I use three pumps for my face and neck. It removes my makeup and water resistant sunscreen fairly well. I have no trouble rinsing it off. It&#39;s reasonably priced. Cruelty free and vegan.

It feels a bit heavier, greasier, and stickier than I prefer, and makes me look a bit oilier than I prefer.

This is a very affordable, water resistant, reliable sunscreen from a reputable brand. The filters in it are excellent. It&#39;s also moisturizing to the skin, so I don&#39;t need to use a separate moisturizer under it. It doesn&#39;t leave a white cast on me (light skintone).

Compared to the Altruist SPF 50 (not the face fluid, the regular SPF 50), this is a bit less heavy, a bit less greasy, and a bit less shiny. And unlike the SPF 50, this one doesn&#39;t pill on me.

The main downside of this product to me is the price, which is relatively high for the small amount of product that you're getting. Of course if you're able to use it as a spot treatment, it's going to last longer. But if you're using all over the face, you'll run out very quickly. Overall I just think the price is a bit steep, although it is a good product.

The concentration of 10% azelaic acid is also pretty low compared to the concentrations that have been shown to be effective in studies.

I bought this to help fight off a persistent cluster of breakouts. With consistent use over about two months (morning and evening) I saw clear improvement. It's hard to say for certain how much of the healing was due to this product, but I do feel like it helped, and I do feel like my skin really liked it. Once I ran out of the product I haven't needed to repurchase, because the major breakout situation was resolved.

The consistency is like a lotion. It's smooth and easy to use, easy to spread on the skin. It has no discernible smell to me. Before this I tried the azelaic acid by The Ordinary, but really had issues with the smell and consistency of that product. So I did much prefer the Paula's Choice azelaic acid booster from the two.

The instructions say you could either use it alone or mix it in with your moisturizer. I only used it on specific areas of my face without mixing into anything, and that worked for me.

I also want to point out that I believe mixing this product with your moisturizer is a bad idea. Azelaic acid has been shown to be effective at pretty high concentrations. The 10% that this product has is already kind of low, so you really don't want to further dilute it.

It has a thick, heavy consistency. It feels greasy and sticky on my skin, and makes my face look quite oily, even though my skin is on the dry side. It takes a little while to work into the skin. I find that it also tends to pill on me, which is very annoying and also a bit concerning. If it pills, is it really forming a proper film?

When I first got this, I was a bit shocked by how grainy it is. The texture is really so grainy that I wondered if it would be too much physical exfoliation for my skin, and whether I would be able to even use it. After a couple tries I found that it was still OK for me, and it didn&#39;t irritate my skin. I did always feel wary about using it to rub my eye area though, because of that grainy texture. The product was also separating(?) a bit in the tube, or at least it typically spat out liquid at first, before getting to the actual balm.

It&#39;s a nice cleansing balm at an affordable price. Cruelty free and vegan. Has barely any scent to it, maybe a bit of a mild oaty scent, which I had no issues with. It quickly melts down in my hands, and emulsifies well. It removes my makeup and water resistant sunscreen nicely.
