Im not sure if its just me but I experienced a slight purge when I first started using this. Little closed comedowns started to pop up. Thankfully they subsided on their own and it never happened again. I must also add that while it’s advertised to be a “daily exfoliator” I would suggest against using it daily. Although it’s gentle, you don’t wanna risk compromising your skin barrier

as you can already tell by the almost empty bottle - I LOVE IT. This is one of most gentle AHAs I have ever used. In fact, it’s the only glycolic acid  containing product that doesn’t cause intense burning and tingling. 

As a result, I found myself reaching for this whenever my skin is looking a lil dull or feeling rough. It always gives me glowing and radiant skin the next morning. I also found it to be pretty synergistic with other hyperpigmentation targeting products, helping to speed up the healing process.

I feel that this is a very gentle retinol and most likely isn’t enough for acne treatment or even anti-ageing. If you’re looking for something like that, you’re better off getting a prescription. Retinols in general also increases sun sensitivity so make sure you’re wearing a good SPF.

my main skin concerns for getting into retinol was to reduce PIH and texture. My acne has been pretty under control and thus I didn’t need something as strong as Tretinoin. 

For the above-mentioned reasons, this serum has met and exceeded my expectations. After 2.5 months of consistent use, my skin feels smooth, plump and healthy. The little bits of texture has also disappeared and old PIH has faded. New scars fade super quickly too (I think this also has to do with using vitamin c and niacinamide in my routine too). This has helped me achieve a never before seen LIT FROM WITHIN GLOW. 

This was also really gentle and never caused any purging or drastic increase in dryness (compared to tret at least)

Alas, I didn’t get that “whitening” effect. I know 3 weeks is not enough time to pass judgment so I’ll just keep it as that.

I actually really enjoyed this!! This serum promises many things like calming, skin nutrition (wtf is that HAHAH), whitening (it’s 2021, can we stop with these kinds of descriptions) etc. So naturally I had high hopes to at least receive one of the benefits from my sample bottle. 

This definitely delivered in the hydration front. It was really quenching and hydrating for my dehydrated skin and left my skin feeling satisfied with just one full dropper of products. This leaves a really balancing sensation that isnt just pure hydration. It brought a slight moisturizing (oil) element to it as well. It was also quite calming for my inflamed pimples.

My undereyes can get a little dehydrated and this did not provide enough hydration to the area at all. If you’re looking for an all in one eye product, I think you might have to look elsewhere. I personally just apply my moisturizer over my eyes to get the same effect. Also, the product seems to dry up very quickly (thus the gunk on the bottle opening)

Color me impressed by this! This has been really effective at reducing my dark and puffy undereyes (mostly caused by bad sleeping habits tbh). With just 1 drop for both eyes, you can significantly see a drastic reduction in my bloated eyebags. 

When tested on my sister (who has more prominent dark circles) she saw a slight improvement in the darkness of the undereyes with 3 months of consistent use.

I found that it works best when used at night. If used in the day, my face felt stuffy&#47; sweaty in the humid Singapore weather (y’all know what I mean) and I kinda sparkle like a disco ball (not in a great way)

I’m just about finished with this HUGE 100ml bottle so I can safely make my conclusion - ITS GOOD. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated, calm and DEWY. Definitely something that would give you that glazed donut look 👀 Overall, I would say it has helped to keep my skin barrier strong and resilient especially since I am using a retinol
