So the more I learn about my skin the more I understand what products are right for me. It’s important to understand that what works for one person, or is easily accessible may not the the one for you. 

I’m not one to succumb to marketing tricks or popular brands, but one brand I see everywherrreeee is The Inkey List but I’ve still not tried anything from the brand! 

Am I the only one? Surely there must be more of us who haven’t tried anything yet?

For those of you who have tried it, feel free to drop me your recommendations.

I’ve always had normal skin type but since moving to a warmer climate my skins oiler than usual. Currently using the Green Tea toner (isntree) but I’d love some suggestions for cleansers and serums that’ll help to balance oil production. Any suggestions are welcome

I’ve always wondered what comes first face oil or moisturiser? Or do you layer both? 

Personally, if I’m using a face oil, I don’t use a moisturiser after as it feels too heavy. 

Curious to see if you’re team oil, team moisturiser or both?

You know when a product tricks you into thinking its working but really all its doing is damaging your skin barrier - well this is one product thay did that for me. 

The texture was too thick for my undereye area, but as it felt hydrating and my undereye was visibly brighter after use I carried on applying this. 

Overtime, this was stripping my eye, tearing my skin little by little. My eyes are sensitive so this formula&#47;ingredients are not great for sensitive skin at all. As a result, the skin under my eye became darker with more prominent lines.

Marketing of this product was great so I took the plunge and purchased. Loved the fresh scent, felt super refreshing for my AM routine. 

Cute tub&#47;packaging - loved the orange colour.

As they have quite a lot of essence on them they tend to slide down your face sometimes. 

It’s best to remove some essence and then apply so they will not move out of place.

These Hydrogel eye patches are great for tired, puffy eyes first thing in the morning. The material allows the ingredients to easily absorb onto your skin, fully maximising the benefits of the epe patches. 

The main ingredient, Bulgarian rose water, is full of skin-benefiting vitamins and minerals, plus ultra-hydrating properties. 
Also contains Niacinamide for Brightening, glycerin that helps skin retain moisture. 

I store mine in the fridge for the cooling benefit which is great fot dull&#47;tired eyes. The fresh rose scent is so beautiful without being overpowering.

Personally, I can’t find any faults in this. I thought the scent may cause flare ups for my sensitive skin but I was pleasantly surprised. No irratations at all but this may be something to consider for people.

One of the best facial cleansing oils I have used.  

With key ingredients such as safflower seed oil, jojoba seed oil and macadamia seed oil, this helps with removing oil based impurities such as makeup and sunscreen, along with healing dry, cracked skin. 

Texture - Lightweight oil that’s easily spread without any irrtation. It does not feel sticky or leave your face greasy. Luxurious scent but it does not linger at all - 2&#47;3 pumps are all you need for your full face and neck. 

150ml lasts a long time so it’s well worth the extra ££.

Unfortunately, I found this product to be quite underwhelming for a Vitamin C based serum. I love the fact that this was so hydrating, but it didnt really improve my tone&#47;texture as much as I’d hoped.

Great texture; lightweight, non-sticky, easily absorbed with minimal citrus scent that sies not linger. 
Key ingrdients: 22% Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP) a stablised form of Vitamin C along with Niacinamide are the main source of brightening ingrdients that work towards improving tone&#47;texture of the skin. 
Vita C Acerola-plex: A combination of fruits &amp; vegatables rich in Vit C that help to hydrate your skin along with brightening dull areas. 
Love the dark glass bottle &amp; dropper - easy to dispense without any stickiness! I stored mine in the fridge away from light&#47;heat to prevent it oxidizing.

It wasn’t hydrating enough during summer when my skin was slightly oiler. 

I found myself using this during my PM routine as an extra layer of hydration ontop of another toner.

Key Ingredients: 

Contains 5 types of Hyaluronic Acid of low, middle and high molecular weight to penetrate deeper into the skin, keeping it moisturised for a longer period.

The formula also consists of a number of plant extracts such as Green tea, Liquorice root, Matricaria flower and Rosemary Leaf that are especially beneficial for sensitive, inflamed skin. 

No alcohol&#47;ethanol, no fragrance, no essential oils - so it will not lead to any irritation! 

Texture &amp; Application:

The texture is noticeably thicker than other watery toners, however, it’s not heavy or sticky like other HA products. It absorbs super fast, with only a small amount needed as it spreads out well. I apply it using my palms, slowly patting into my skin but for extremely dry skin you may benefit from soaking a cotton pad for application. 

My experience: 

This was perfect for autumn&#47;winter as my skin was extremely dry and dehydrated. My skin felt softer, smoother and most importantly this provided a long-lasting effective boost of hydration.
