Hi there! 🤗 Any cleansing oil recommendations? I am currently using Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil but I am a little unsatisfied with its texture and effectiveness, so I am looking for a new product to try. I have tried balms such as Heimish All Clean Balm, but I prefer oils than balms. Hope you can recommend a good cleansing oil for my oily, acne-prone skin.📩📩📩

Hello! 🤗 I am currently using a local Philippine retinol product with 0.2% concentration. Been using it for months now and I am planning to upgrade to 0.5%. Any product recommendations? I've heard about The Inkey List and Good Molecules, and I am considering trying them, but if you can recommend other better products, I would highly appreciate it. 💖💖💖 Thank you!

Retinol 0.5% recommendations

It is very expensive for me. I could not buy a serum with its price.

It's my favorite of the two. This ampoule is meant for delicate, easily irritated skin. It prevents discomfort when removing waste materials from the pores by employing natural enzyme exfoliating components. One amazing thing about this ampoule is that it contains 763,800 ppm of Centella Asiatica extract instead of water to lessen the residual sebum related skin problems. No wonder my skin feels good with it. ☺️ It also has niacinamide, retinol, and lactbacillus ferment. These are all good ingredients to minimize skin irritation. In almost two weeks of using it, I can say that it is really calming. 👌🏻 Another thing that I love about it is that it is fragrance-free, doesn't break me out, and absorbs into the skin without leaving any sticky or greasy feeling. I use it at night, and my face looks fresh and kind of glowing when I wake up the next day. ✨

Although the smell disappears soon after application, the fact that it has a scent may increase my risk of having breakouts. 😢 My skin tends to be very sensitive to fragrance, and I didn't know that when I purchased this product.

Experience & thoughts:
I used this for a month, two nights per week. It is a decent product with good ingredients so I was hoping that as an exfoliating toner with AHA and BHA, it would smooth out the rough patches on my skin, but sadly, it broke me out. 😩 I gave it enough time to see if it was just my skin's initial reaction, but really, tiny bumps and pimples kept showing up while using this product. 🥲 It has not been able to prevent the formation of whiteheads and blackheads. 😟 So I have stopped using it.

Overall, it is not good for my skin. I do not recommend this to those with sensitive skin like mine or if your skin reacts negatively to fragranced products. But that doesn't mean it won't work for you too. If you have no issues with scent, this can be a good and cheaper alternative to some expensive AHA BHA toners on the market. 🤗

Will I repurchase it? No. ❌

It didn't break me out or sting my eyes. 😌 It is non-greasy and non-tacky too. It also has very good sun protection as it is certified for UV protection at 98%.

It has a transparent, liquidy texture and, therefore, no white cast. 👌🏻 It is very easy to blend and apply and it gets absorbed quickly, making my skin feel hydrated and moisturized 💦 without being sticky. It gives my oily skin a dewy finish. Overall, it's a nice sunscreen and I will continue using it because I don't see any problems with it. 😌 It didn't break me out or sting my eyes. 😌 It is non-greasy and non-tacky too. Has very good sun protection as it is certified for UV protection at 98%.

There is technically no drawbacks in using this cream. I love it and it did not irritate my skin nor cause any breakouts. No cons. 🤗

Experience & thoughts:
First, let's appreciate how amazing its ingredients are! 🙌🏻 This could be a super-great dupe for CeraVe but with extra nice ingredients! I find it perfect for my oily skin as it absorbs quickly and it is more watery. Also, it is alcohol-free, so my sensitive skin approves of it. The tube lasted me a month when I used it day and night. I noticed that it soothed and improved my rough-textured skin. For me, it's a great moisturizer for strengthening the skin barrier and preventing moisture loss. It's just a little bit pricey for me if I buy it at its original price, but the great thing is that QuickFX often has promos, so I always hoard when I have the chance! 🤪
