What do you do with your expired products? I mean a bag full of expired products in every category, easily 30+ products as a whole kind of "a LOT" 😬
   
I recently cleaned out my stash bc everything's just so cluttered and I end up not seeing what I already have
   
Fully admitting that I was a hoarder of both my own purchases and I said yes to a lot of product reviews and i never really got to finish most of them.. some are even unopened 😅 I've been a lot more mindful of what I buy/accept now tho so yay
   
For PH friends – do you know places that accept product packaging (plastic tubes to glass containers) around Manila?

I'm trying to explore makeup and, being a noob, I don't really want to spend too much on anything just yet.
   
I have read that baby shampoo is okay but I have a lot of facial cleansers in my stash and some have already expired. I'm not sure what to do with them so I thought maybe I could use them to clean my makeup brushes.

I went to a dermatologist and retinol 1% was included in the suggestions for me. They have their own product line but it's too expensive for me 😅

I'm using tretinoin now so I'm not sure if I even need to add retinol to my routine. The tretinoin cream (edit: using 0.025%) I use is doing okay but I guess I'm still not satisfied with the results (been using it for 3-4mos now).

Should I switch to retinol instead? If yes, any recommendations?

I think I have more cons than pros... ✌🏻😬

± while I do like the packaging, this still does only come with 6g of product.. I literally finished a satchet in ±2 weeks - and I didn&#39;t even use 2-fingers worth of product + I didn&#39;t reapply since I&#39;m only staying indoors. Tho roughly estimating it, maybe 5&#47;6 satchets (545-654php) of this would be the same as buying the usual bottle of sunscreen anw so it can be just a packaging(?) preference

± as with any other physical sunscreen, this leaves a whitecast. I&#39;m on the fair-medium side (more yellowish-fair kind) and it has a brightening effect on me. Makes me slightly grayish BUT it will blend in. Just maybe something to note if you have a darker tone&#47;complexion

± didn&#39;t notice much difference with my dark spots (since this claims to help lighten them)
 
× for a sunscreen with a lot of texture enhancers, I had difficulties applying and blending this in. I have sensitive skin so I try to avoid as much friction as I can but since I have to rub this in a LOT just to spread and blend it in, my face ends up hurting afterwards. This stings more often than not

× prone to pilling!!! Tried this with and w&#47;o moisturizer - ended up pilling on both tries. Tho if you do wait maybe 2-3 minutes in between your moisturizer and sunscreen step, it&#39;s gonna pill LESS. Yes, there&#39;s still pilling, just less 🤷🏻‍♀️

✓ love the matte finish + it does feel lightweight once blended in
✓ doesn&#39;t make me oily throughout the day – which is great! I tried this while I was doing a lot of cleaning and furniture moving and I still didn&#39;t get oily even though I was super sweaty 😂

✓ it&#39;s unscented but I can still smell a hint of something.. maybe it&#39;s the dandelion extract? But then again, Idk how dandelions smell haha :(( doesn&#39;t bother me tho

✓ very gentle. If you&#39;ve had a similar journey with acne, you&#39;d know how everything can sting. Never felt stinging with this

× as a mask treatment, this left me with small spots on the area applied. Some did turn into actual acne spots but not into cystic ones

✓ this works great for cystic acne - the 6 hour claim is actually true! Some of my cystic acne then was &#39;ready&#39; after night 1 &amp; by night 2, most of them are coming up!

± didn&#39;t really help to lighten my already existing PIH but I noticed that the healing spots that I used this on had significantly lighter scars

If you have very, very sensitive skin that gets red immediately after any sort of touching&#47;scratching or if your skin tends to break&#47;wound up, I think this isn&#39;t for you.

× the scent. It smells like citrus-scented car freshener &amp; it&#39;s a bit strong. The scent goes away during the 1-2min waiting time but it always hits me everytime. Good thing it doesn&#39;t stay on the skin after rinsing

× this has small bead-like textures from the added vitamin E capsule and it slightly hurts my skin when I start massaging it; I tried it on my hand I can still definitely feel them

× stings a bit, specially on my cheeks

✓ (temporarily) made my skin a bit brighter right after using it
✓ does the job – it exfoliated my skin well
✓ not drying! This was actually moisturizing
✓ rinses off nicely and doesn&#39;t leave and residue
✓ didn&#39;t break me out tho it may be too early to say (I&#39;ve only used it twice)

tried to use this daily as indicated (&quot;use daily, morning and night&quot;) but I think this is just too strong for my skin... I did use a cotton round with this tho they suggest to pour in directly on the palm then pat gently on the skin

× used this daily for the first week - I felt like my skin got a lot more sensitive.. there were times where I felt some stinging. I&#39;ve been using this 2-3x a week instead (at night)

× also has fragrance 😟 this smells strongly of astringent (maybe from the witch hazel?)

✓ not drying for an AHA&#47;BHA toner
✓ I felt like this helped tighten my pores

± no purging (thank u Lord) but it did give me 1-2 spots on my first week
± didn&#39;t see much difference with my blackheads tho
