Please share how you reapply sunscreen throughout the day, both indoors and outdoors! 🌞 

How do you ensure your hands & face are clean before you reapply? 

For hands, this is easy - just wash them or use hand sanitiser before reapplying. Face is a little more tricky - what tips would you recommend to ensure your face is clean? I dislike the thought of knowing I might be reapplying over dust, dirt, sweat that might have accumulated throughout the day, without a proper cleanse.

If you use tools to reapply sunscreen 
(such as a cushion puff/sponge), how do you ensure they are clean as well?

For those of you dealing with hormonal acne, do you change your routine when nearing the time of the month?

Was wondering if increasing the frequency of exfoliation, using more sebum-regulating products etc might help prevent or reduce hormonal breakouts? Since these often occur due to increased sebum production.

Salicylic acid VS Betaine salicylate VS Willow bark extract - do they work the same? 

I have heard efficacy of 4% Betaine salicylate = 2% salicylic acid, does it really work this way? 

I don't have much knowledge on this, and have not done substantial research or looked into academic papers about this yet. 

Based on my personal experience, I did not find Betaine salicylate or Willow bark extract to provide any significant effects in terms of exfoliation for my skin (oily, acne prone). Only Salicylic acid has helped me a lot in this area. 

I often see products containing Betaine salicylate or Willow bark extract say they have exfoliating properties, and that they are providing a more gentle form of exfoliation. I'm curious, if they actually do work and help exfoliate, just not sufficient enough for me / my oily skin? Are they also indeed more gentle? 

What do you think of these ingredients, were they helpful for you? Would love to hear if anyone has any knowledge or personal experiences to share 😊

Following Pickies

• Drier skin types may find this a bit too dry

• Sometimes the cleanser makes me feel like sneezing when cleansing near my nose area 😅

• Does a great job cleansing my oily skin from dirt, sweat, sebum without being overly stripping or dry

• Very well-suited for my oily skin - providing a good balance&#47;compromise between effective cleansing and not overly drying

• Contains green tea (matcha) as the main ingredient, which is a great antioxidant for regulating sebum production (though effects in a wash-off product may be limited)

• Creamy texture feels nice and luxurious on skin, foams up nicely into a lather

• Like the natural faint smell of matcha leaves which makes the cleansing experience enjoyable

• Super affordable and good quantity

Overall, one of my favourite cleansers!

• Product made my face sting and itchy after using it (not as gentle as it claims to be)

•  Did not see any visible benefits, be it for reducing acne or brightening uneven skin tone

• Dislike the smell, which lingers for a bit

• Personally not the product for me since I have oily, acne prone skin so incorporating BHA works better for me

(For reference, have used about 80% of product on face before I switched to body)

• Does help with removing little flakes of dead skin on the surface of my skin, smoothens texture

• Contains no harmful ingredients, and mandelic acid is a very gentle form of exfoliant

• So gentle that I felt the LHA did not provide any exfoliation benefits for my oily acne prone skin
(May only be a good product for beginners to exfoliation or those with extremely sensitive skin)

• Did not see much brightening benefits for dark spots

• Although the 50ml is more value for money, I still feel the ampoule is overall on the pricey end

• Cooling texture that smooths over skin nicely

• Very hydrating and moisturising, plumps up my skin after

• Gentle on skin, experienced no irritation

• Too heavy and thick for my oily skin, and can leave a greasy, shiny finish (hence I have switched to using this on my body and I love using it as a body sunscreen)

• Believe product has been discontinued

• Contains no alcohol and fragrance, gentle and mild ingredients - great pick for the sensitive skins out there

• Relatively lightweight and sets well for having no alcohol

• Moisturising formula, will not dry out your skin - dry skin would love this too

• Water-resistant and it stays on my skin so I know I&#39;m getting protected (though of course reapplication regularly is always necessary)

• Slightly bigger in quantity compared to the average sunscreen and reasonably priced

• Some may be sensitised by the essential oils, so I will highly recommend sensitive skin to try out the unscented version (personally, I didnt encounter any irritation from this)

• Nothing bad for me personally - absolutely love this!

• Toner is very hydrating, skin will plump up after 

• Love the texture which is viscous yet lightweight, to give sufficient hydration but yet not too heavy for my oily skin

• Absorbs and sinks into the skin very quickly. Also has a gentle, cooling effect which gives a nice sensorial experience when it touches your skin

• Love the lavender scent, it makes me feel so calm and at peace

• Very reasonably priced, especially when you get it on sales

• Packaging is awesome, product comes out from the bottle hole easily and able to pour the right amount 

Overall, one of my all-time favourite toners!
