I really like the texture and the fact that even if I have sensitive skin I didn’t have any reaction

I received this product for free from Picky and SKIN1004 in exchange for my honest review.

The SKIN1004 Centella Tone Brightening Capsule Ampoule comes in a generous 100ml dropper for 38,70$ on Yesstyle.

Wonderful ingredients for my sensitive acne prone skin. I use it in combination with my Purito centella unscented serum. It may seem somewhat pricey but you do get a lot of product.

Inside are these little dissolving white beads (likely the suspended Tranexamic Acid) in an otherwise lightweight odorless clear gel base. Can be used AM and PM, depending on your routine. Simply wash and tone (though toning is not required) and use as part of your serum step, then moisturizer and SPF in the daytime. This product will make you more photosensitive so I highly urge users to use sunscreen if you are not already.

This "serum" is an amalgamation of several skin-friendly, brightening elements: 77% Centella Asiatica Extract (first ingredient and know to be soothing, calming); niacinamide (B3) known to help balance out sebum; a couple of stable forms of vitamin C; and Tranexamic Acid which if you've used the hada labo shirojyun premium lotion and cream, Tranexamic Acid is amazing.

Akin to hydroquinone, when topically applied, tranexamic acid provides a potent anti-inflammatory reaction, inhibiting tyrosinase synthesis in melanocytes. At the same time, it blocks the transfer of pigment from melanocytes to keratinocytes in the epidermis. In short, tranexamic acid helps prevent and fade the look of several types of skin discolorations. Tranexamic acid also calms the skin and helps restore the skin barrier.

Because of the lifecycle of skin, it can take up to 12-weeks to fully see results. Still, TA is a highly effective brightening ingredient and treatment for post-acne redness/post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

You will want to ease into the use of it to test your tolerance and suitability. I suggest using it 1-2x a week and gradually increasing use. Apply to the face and neck (e.g., forehead, cheeks), avoiding the sensitive skin around the lips and eyes. However you use it, you'll want to incorporate a 30+ SPF into your routine. To further prevent discoloration and help boost the results of the tranexamic acid, you will want to use SPF regularly. The skin reacts to UV by tanning, burning, freckling, etc. Acne (and scarring) will also darken in response to protect the 'wound,' which is essentially what a pimple is.

This serum is intended to fade discoloration/hyperpigmentation, not to treat active acne. Review your actives as some of these ingredients should not be paired with retinol or certain BHAs or AHAs.

I used the ampoule more than a week, I have to say this makes for a nice inexpensive substitute if you are looking for something with Tranexamic Acid and niacinamide, and are specifically looking to treat hyperpigmentation. This is especially good for those with combination-to-oily skin + acne-prone (the niacinamide) + sensitive skin (fragrance-free, no colorants/dyes). I found this to be mild enough for my use (sensitive, acne prone skin). I prefer to use this in the PM after my double cleansing and toning with non-medicated cleansers and essences. The ampoule had good spreadability and melts into the skin. Doesn't make me feel greasy, sticky. Not the most moisturizing, but I apply my face lotion shortly after in my routine, so it doesn't matter. Feels nourishing and I'm thrilled with the performance and quality.

On of my first and favorite exodoliant products. Gentle but effective does leave the skin net

A little bit sticky but dries quickly. I didn’t notice a difference in my hyperpigmentation but over all is very good for hydration

Love this little one. Very hydrating a bit sticky formula. I’ve been using it for more than 2 weeks and notice a huge difference on my dehydrated skin
