I really have nothing bad to say about this product! 

I’m a big fan of Isntree and the Chestnut 8% AHA essence is definitely a favourite. I had previously tried the Cheatnut BHA liquid which is also a great product but I think I prefer this one slightly more as it combines both glycolic and lactic acids. 

The texture of this essence is pretty watery which I personally enjoy. I normally apply it with a cotton pad as the first step of my routine after cleansing to remove dead skin cells. Then I apply 1-2 more pumps directly onto my face and tap it in with my fingertips. It absorbs quickly and I follow with my toners, serums and moisturizer. This essence also has no discernible scent and it pairs well with other products without any pilling. 

Packaging-wise I absolutely love the pump bottle it comes in. The pump makes it so easy and convenient to dispense the essence vs having to shake it out of a bottle. I also like that there is minimal exposure to air with this pump bottle. 

For an AHA product this one is definitely very gentle and doesn’t cause any irritation at all. I use it 4-5 times a week and my skin is absolutely fine. I noticed a reduction in my sebaceous filaments and clearer pores with regular usage. My skin also appears more luminous and has a healthy glow. 

I purchased this product with my own money and would happily repurchase it and recommend it to anyone. If you’re looking for a gentle chemical exfoliant give this one a try!

I’m on my second box of the Miguhara Shine Caming Daily Mask Pack. Yes it’s that good. Firstly, it comes in a hard plastic box with a flip top lid that can even be repurposed to keep small items (I used it to store my cotton pads!). A pair of tweezers is also included. When you flip open the lid there is a seal - don’t completely remove this. It’s resealable and will keep your sheet masks from drying out. 

This sheet mask does have a light citrusy fragrance but it’s very faint and doesn’t bother me at all. The sheet material is soft and sheer which I prefer over opaque sheet masks. The size of the sheet is also perfect for me, it’s not too small and the eye and mouth cut outs are larger so the fit is very comfortable. The sheets are also drenched with essence. Even the topmost layers are fully soaked and when you finish up the box there is plenty of extra essence to slather your arms and legs too. 

This sheet mask also has some stellar ingredients like niacinamide, arbutin, 6 types of peptides, centella asiatics and some plant extracts. It leaves my skin feeling very hydrated and glowy and it pairs well with other skincare. I try to use it everyday for healthy radiant skin. It’s a HG bulk sheet mask for me and I would repurchase over and over again.

I have nothing bad to say about this product. About Me seem to make very good quality products and they should get more love! 

I’ve just started using this product but About Me is already one of my favourite underrated K-beauty brands. I love their Rice Makgeolli Cleansing Foam and the Kakadu C Dark Spot Serum. I was intrigued by the Rice Makgeolli Skin Softener and excited to try it. I love products containing rice in general and the skin softener is no exception. 

I frequently see comments about the smell but I honestly barely smell anything when I use this. It certainly doesn’t smell bad, maybe just a faint scent of natural grains. The texture is milky and watery with a very light viscosity - not thick or gel-like by any means. I like using this after a few layers of watery toner and I use only one layer of the skin softener. It noticeably brightens up my skin and leaves it feeling very hydrated. I then follow it with my serum and moisturizer. I haven’t experienced any irritation from this product. I look forward to using it more and hope to see benefits as time goes by.
