I usually have to stick to mineral sunscreens since my skin is very sensitive to chemical filters. Which sunscreens leave minimal to no white cast?

What are the best mineral sunscreens that don’t have a white cast?

Since it is hyaluronic acid-based, you need to seal it in with a thicker moisturizer. Also, if you live in a very dry climate this product is probably not the best option because it has so much hyaluronic acid. 

This is a holy grail product for sensitive and dehydrated skin. Even when my skin is sensitized from using retinoids, it doesn’t sting or burn. When I wake up in the morning my skin feels plump and soft. 

It can make your skin dry, flaky, and irritated. Therefore it’s important to start out slow by only using it once a week. It took me about 3 months of consistent use to be able to use it everyday without irritation. 

This has been my holy grail acne product that has transformed my skin. It helped my acne, hyperpigmentation, and skin texture. It took about a month to start seeing results. The gel texture makes it easy to spread on the face. 

It does emphasize dry patches and makes them look flakey. This sunscreen takes a bit more effort to work in than other sunscreens, so if you like to slap on your sunscreen and go this may not be the product for you.

This is a mineral sunscreen and usually I stay away from mineral sunscreens because of the potential white cast. I was initially worried about the white cast on this product because when you first apply it, it doesn’t seem like it’s rubbing in at all. After a couple of minutes of working the product in, the white cast diminished by about 90%. Then after letting it set for 15 more minutes the white cast completely disappears. It has a soft matte powder texture when it dries down.

I will stay it’s a bit annoying to use because it can get very messy. You rub it onto your face and the product pills up and falls off. I would recommend using it in the shower for easier cleanup.

This is a pretty mild physical exfoliant that would work well for someone with sensitive skin. It doesn’t sting the skin or eyes. Since it’s a gentle product, I didn’t notice a huge difference in texture or black heads, but that may be because I need to use the product consistently for a couple of months. 

Since I have oily skin, I think it might be too heavy for daytime wear during the summer.

I really appreciate this cream for winter months when it gets very dry at night. When I wake up, my skin still feels moisturized 8+ hours after application. During the winter, I can wear it during the day too without it getting greasy. I have clog prone skin, but I have not noticed more closed comedones since starting this product. I’m using this product alongside a retinol, and I think it does provide a soothing calm to my slightly inflamed skin.
