Howw cute are these mini L’essential goodies? It’s the Azulene Soothing starter kit, I haven’t used many products containing Azulene so this was exciting! 🤩🤩

0 Zero Cleanser ❄️
This cleanser had a creamy lather, with a light eucalyptus/green tea scent. It contains soothing ingredients like Centella Asiatica and other plant leaf extracts, but the eucalyptus oil may be sensitizing to some. I don’t use this often because I prefer gentle cleansers, I felt like this stripped my skin a little (felt dry and tight after cleansing) 

1 First Toner ❄️
This was my least favourite product from this line. Again, my skin felt really dry and tight after using this. I prefer hydrating, and soothing toners especially if my cleanser felt a little too harsh. This also ruined my moisture barrier after using the first time. I believe this does contain PHA but it was still too harsh for my skin :(

2 Double Serum ❄️
I enjoyed using this serum, it’s more of a thicker consistency compared to other serums. So it was a bit hard to layer. It also has a light floral scent to it? Couldn’t find if it has fragrance but it doesn’t smell too artificial. It’s not too special of a serum, though it is soothing!  This contains Niacinmide, Centella and 7 types of peptides. I would reach for this serum more if it was more lightweight texture.

3 Triple cream ❄️
Now, this isn’t a cream texture at all so the name is a little misleading. It’s more like a liquid gel texture so this definitely won’t work for dry skin types. I like using this as my AM moisturizer since its super lightweight, fast absorbing and refreshing. It feels hydrating on my skin without being too heavy which is why I recommend this to oily skin types. I use this sometimes in the PM but I layer a heavier moisturizer over it! This also contains Niacinmide and fruit/plant extracts.

✨Water sleeping Mask 
One of my favourite lightweight sleeping masks, It’s so hydrating and leaves my skin looking so plump and soft. It has the nicest lightweight water-gel like texture. but i’m not the biggest fan of the strong scent! 

✨Water bank moisture cream 
A nice solid moisturizer, pretty basic. I don’t use this often as there are other moisturizers that I like but I didn’t find anything too special about this product.

✨Lip sleeping mask in berry 
I honestly never got the hype around the lip sleeping masks until I tried! It keeps my lips moisturized all night and isn’t really heavy like other petroleum based products. A little goes a long way so it lasts forever. Also that scent is heavenly 😍

Laneige Mini Set Review!

Can we talk about how pretty this packaging is? It’s the Pore control powder line by the skin house. The main ingredients are Green Tea, Psidium Guajava Fruit Extract and Tea Tree oil. Here are my thoughts 💚

TONER 🌱 This has powder settled at the bottom so you need to shake before using! Claiming to “tighten” pores and remove excess oil— This does have and Alcohol (2nd ingredient) and Witch hazel (6th) which can be drying but there are also hydrating ingredients like butylene glycol, glycerin and allatonin so I didn’t know what to expect. Unfortunately this was a bit drying to my skin so I don’t use it often but it can be good for really oily skin types! 

SERUM 🌱 My favourite product of this line! It’s described as “A moisturizing serum that delivers hydration to the skin and helps tighten pores.” I love using this when my skin is oily and don’t want to use too many strong actives in my routine. It’s also more hydrating then I thought it’d be. Not too heavy either so great for oily skin!

EMULSION 🌱 Haven’t used many Emulsions but it has a nice, almost gel-like texture, it’s not lightweight— like a thicker serum but it does absorb well into skin! This is the third step so I suppose it’s to be used instead of a moisturizer. The claims of this are also kind of confusing. It’s supposed to “remove old keratin on the pores and waste matters without skin stimulation to feel excellent cleaning effect” It also “gives instant shrinking effect and forms sebum controlling film”. So i’m not quite sure the role this plays in my routine. Though, It is hydrating and provides extra moisture while helping in sebum control!

The Skin House pore control powder line!

My skin is usually able to handle most skincare, I haven’t used many new things lately but for some reason i’m having insane peeling around my nose area? to the point where it’s red (btw my skin is never red since i have a darker skin tone!) and it burns to apply products on?? I even tried just applying basic barrier supporting creams, hydrating toners AKA going back to the basics but it just seems to irritate my skin more. Please HELP!!! 😭😭

Can you use vitamin C in the night routine? I only use sunscreen in the mornings and majority of my products go in my PM routine! Is it just as a effective in the evening or can you only use vitamin c in the morning??

Unfortuantly It did leave my skin feeling slightly stripped and tight, which may be due to the surfactants.

Cleanses well and has anti oilyness&#47;acne properties due to the salasylic acid. there are a few skin soothing ingredediants like hyalaraunic acid, panthenol and glycerin.

this is really stripping and leaves your skin feeling tight after washing off. also has dyes and strong fragrences which causes irritation. it made my acne worse over time :&#47;

This product is oil free which can be benificial to acne prone and super oily skin types. the exfoliants are also not super harsh

I cant say theres really anything bad about this product but it is at a 10% formulation so be sure to use this moderatly and not over exfoliate!

My holy grail chemical exfoliater! Need I say more? This is amazing for the price and one of the best products the ordinary has to offer. It’s a great beginner exfoliater, though i do recommend the 5% if your just getting started and not sure if your skin can handle a higher percentage. This also has Hylaranic acid so it’s not overly drying and leaves your skin feeling hydrated. it’s also great for POC skin, since it’s a smaller molecule then glycolic acid and there’s less chance of irritation (which can lead to pigmentation). I haven’t noticed any pilling, purging or negative affects after using this, but remember everyone’s skin is different!

The only thing i cant get over with this is the thick pastey texture. It also leaves a slight white cast and you have to rub it in for it to go away!

I love this!! Great for wound healing, Calming irritation, Dryness, flakyness, Eczema— All around an amazing repair balm for damged skin.

Theres a slight greasy feeling after applying and even after wiping off. not my favourite part of it

Works great for waterproof, tough to remive makeup. Doesnt sting my eyes and is unascented! its also very accessible and affordable.
