I’m looking for a hydrating toner to help my skin during these dry winter months.

I use a thick moisturizer and eye cream, my cleanser is very gentle and I switched to more hydrating serums. But I need help with my toner.

Best toner for winter?

I’ve been reading about it here on picky, but I’m not too sure about it’s benefits (except treating hyperpigmentation) and wether it’ll work for my skin.

I have sensitive combination skin so if you could share your experience and product recommendations that would be lovely 😊

Your experience with tranexamic acid

The price isn’t very affordable, but it’s worth the splurge.

Beautiful shade range to enhance every undertone. The formula is so light and moisturizing, not sticky at all! It has a subtle minty feel that give the lips a slight plumping effect. Very comfortable to wear, and extremely nourishing ♥️

The texture is sticky, so you do need to lock it in with a moisturizer!

This centella enriched ampoule claims to be brightening and soothing, and to improve dull skin and small wounds.

Texture: It’s very light and water-like. It feels sticky until you lock it in with a cream.

Scent + Sensitivity: No fragrance AT ALL! Which I love. I did a patch test on my hand which has a small scratch, and it did not sting at all, so it is sensitivity-friendly.

Application: The tilted dropper makes using the ampoule such a delight. The capsules take a bit of time to dissolve. So I rub the solution between my palms before I apply it.

When I started using this, I was heeling a broken skin barrier (thanks winter 🙂) and it helped! 
The thing is, I didn’t notice any soothing effect the first time that I applied it. But using it for a while helped recover my skin. Plus it’s very hydrating, which is perfect for me. (if your skin is more dry you might need to layer it)
The brightening, that I could see straight away! My skin tends to get dull looking, so this was a dream to use. It makes my skin look healthy and dewy, and that lasts throughout the night and the next day.

I also used it on my leg (don’t ask, and don’t judge) and it did visibly brighten a very recent scar. Which leads me to believe that it can brighten acne scars.

I’ve been using it every night for 20 days, and And my skin loves it! I think it’s very affordable; $24.5 for 100ml, and you don’t need to use a lot. So I’ll probably repurchase once I run out (which won’t happen for a while 😉)

I’ve been loving this baby from the first time I got my hands on it! I’ve repurchased it time and time again. And will continue to use it. 

The consistency is very liquidy so it’s easy to pour more product than you initially intended to. So be careful!

This Spruce extract, Polyphenols, and Vitamin E enriched sunscreen promises a lightweight, invisible protection and a sensitivity-friendly formula.

I’ve been testing this sunscreen from Caudalie for around a month now. Here are my thoughts!

The texture is like a 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐢𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧. And while the applicator is narrow, I’ve accidentally poured way too much product one too many times.

Once on the skin, the sunscreen just completely blends in. 𝐍𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐨𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫! It also leaves a lovely 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐰 which I’ve been enjoying 🥰 (I do need to mention that it’s not sticky nor greasy)

It’s very 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 to wear daily, and makes a very nice 𝐝𝐞𝐰𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞 for light makeup.

It’s fragrance-free and 𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐜, so it won’t clog your pores. And 𝐦𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭! I recently upped my retinol usage to twice a week (my skin can finally handle it 🥳) and on the days where it’s extra sensitive, I found that the sunscreen was never irritating!

Overall this is definitely a new 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 🤩 it’s worth all the hype and it was nice to find out that it’s 𝐯𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 and 𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐟-𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞!

If you live very dry weather, you might want to consider using a heavier moisturizer before using this sunscreen as it can be stripping.
