I just received my Ageless Beauty Picky box..  it came 4 days early!  5 exciting products - haruharu wonder black rice cleansing gel, nacific frsh herb toner, papa recipe noble rot lifting ampoule, vita red sunscreen and neogen via duo night cream.  BIG DECISION - which do I try out first???  Keep watching for reviews on each one in the coming weeks.

I am so excited about the Picky box that I just ordered.  There are 5 different products, all with great reviews by other Picky people. I can't wait to get my box and start trying these products.  I will let you all know how I like them when I review them myself.

I received this product for free from Picky and SKIN1004 in exchange for my honest review.  The product is Madagascar Centella Cyalu-Circa Water Fit Sun Serum SPF 50+. 


I was very excited as this was the first Picky giveaway that I have won!  I received a full sized (50 ml) pump bottle of the sun serum.  


The box indicates that it is a UV protection cosmetic and a brightening/anti-aging cosmetic.  The serum is nice and creamy but not greasy with a very delicate scent that dissipates immediately (which is good - I don't like lingering scents).  It makes my face feel very hydrated and works well as a sun block.  It did not sting my eyes at all (like other sunscreens that I have used).   


I am very happy with this product.  My only caveat is that I would have liked as slight tint to even out my skin tones but this is not really a negative!

The only negative, for me, was that it was a little bit drying on my skin.  I have dry skin to begin with so I think I need a more moisturizing cleanser.  But for people with slightly oily skin, this product would be perfect!  I will continue to use the product (don't like to waste) but would give it to my daughter whose skin is a little oily, if possible.


For my skin, it's a 3 star but for oily skin, it's a 5 star.  So I rated this product a 4 star.



Hi everyone!  I purchased the Picky "Ageless Beauty" box with 5 products month and promised to review them all.  Today, I will start with the Haruharu  Wonder Black Rice Moisture 5.5 Soft Cleaning Gel.   

 

The packaging is beautiful and sophisticated!  The tube had a plastic strip sealing the cover and the opening of the tube had a peel off covering.   I love these safety features!


The gel was nice and thick - only about a quarter-sized squirt was what was needed.  I rubbed the gel in my hands to get a creamy foam to wash my face.  It felt good and never stung my eyes.  It was unscented, which I appreciate.  My face felt clean and refreshed.  However....



Unfortunately, I was not fond of the cream.   It felt watery when applied and didn't sink into my skin.  It eventually dried but felt sticky and tacky.  The most disappointing part was that I didn't feel any difference in my skin.  I was hoping for a moisurizing impact but ... nothing. 


I am hoping that the other items in my Picky box work out better than this one.



I got this Neogen Vita Duo Night Cream in my Ageless Beauty Picky box.  It claims to be a 'strengthening & hydrating night cream'.  It is formulated with lavender and vitamin E.  

The packaging was enticing and the jar shaded in lavender.  The scent of lavender was mild and dissipated quickly which I appreciated.  I generally am not fond of lavender scents but this one was nice.

It's getting to be warmer weather, especially here in Florida so I thought I would tell you all about a great sunscreen.  I LOVE Hawaiian Tropics Sheer Touch SPF 30.  I have been using this brand for years.  The lotion is so creamy and rubs into the skin easily without a greasy feeling.  The scent is subtle and dissipates fairly quickly (I hate lingering smells!).  The sunscreen protection is great - no sunburn since I started using this product.  It's the only sunscreen that I use.  It is widely available at grocery stores, discount stores and pharmacies.  Just keep an eye out for the expiration date (my most recent purchase was good for 2 years).

On the con side, the smell is mild but lingering a bit too long.   I know that SPF 15 is not really enough for good sun protection - I wish it came in an SPF 30.   I also wish it came with a tint to even out the color of my face skin. I don't think I would buy it again because I don't really see any longer-term impacts on my skin.




I bought Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion because I was looking for a light moisturizer with some SPF for sun protection.  I know the name Neutrogena but bought this product for someone else. It was not what she wanted so I decided to try it myself.  On the pro side, the texture is a nice lotion and spreads easily.  My skin feels somewhat moisturized after application and, as long as I avoid getting any in my eyes, I will use up this product.
