I feel like there are many products that are so popular at the moment that just don’t work for everyone. So I would like to know if there is anything you have bought into and tried that you would NOT use again.

For me I was prescribed Differin 0.1% adapalene which is a retinol people love. It broke me out so much more, made my skin sensitive and painful, damaged the barrier and after coming off it my face cleared up and got much better.

Products you wouldn’t repurchase

Heyy. There are many products on the market which have very mixed reviews from each person, and this makes me slightly scared to try them. 
 
For me it’s The Ordinary AHA BHA peeling solution as I’ve heard so many good/bad reactions from it. So what is a product you are thinking about using but aren’t too sure yet? And if anyone has used them please share your experiance. 😅

Products you are hesitant to use

Some people may not like the gel like consistency however for my skintype I love it.

first started using the product when I got breakouts on my face and it has been great to me since. Its a nice lightweight gel cream like consistency which is super moisturising and absorbs really well. Really great for my dry skin and has lots of great ingredients.

I have nothing bad to say about this product apart from it takes a while to work which is standard for arbutin.

This product is amazinggg for brightening the skin, especially dark marks left from acne. It’s also super moisturising as it contains hyaluronic acid, doesn’t feel sticky after apply and absorbs really well.

It is on the pricey side but for what it does I recommend the investment

✅ minimises acne scarring
✅ not irritating or drying
✅ no sticky feeling or harsh smell

When I first saw the hype around this product I did not really believe it as I’ve used BHA in the past and didn’t really benefit. However this is a game changer and works just like it says, from unclogging pores, minimising breakouts it is the holy grail product.

Not 100% sure but have read it is not actually spf 50 but somewhere between 35-40 which is still quite high so I don’t mind too much. Contains alcohol which is a let down.

I love this spf and have been using it for the last 2 years of my life. Its my most repurchased product. 
It feels hydrating on the face does not leave a white cast and sits well under makeup. Does not leave a sticky texture on the face and makes you look slightly dewy ( if thats what you like )

I got this to help with my acne and pigmentation but it did not do much for me. On contrary to what it says about not clogging pores, my skin felt ‘heavy’ and i didn’t like the feeling of it
