Fighting acne scars and hyperpigmentation ❌

Helo!!! 
I’ve been struggling finding a good routine for my hormonal acne. 
I’m diagnosed with pcos and I try to follow a low sugar/gluten/dairy diet and take Metformin and Inositol as treatments. 
However, I struggle with a lot of deep cystic acne around jaw and cheeks (beard pattern) and have lots of PIE and hyperpigmentation as well. I created a similar discussion earlier to ask for products and some of you guys were really helpful recommending products. I’ve added stuff to my shopping list aaaand -  Would this routine be effective and appropriate to layer?

Hormonal acne/oily skin routine advice

Hi everyone! This is the routine I’ve been following for a while now and my skin is still breaking out. Even when the active hormonal acnes go away, the scars stay red and bumpy and can get inflamed again. What can I do or change to get rid of these suckers? 😭 note: I don’t use the products in this order, I switch cleansers depending on how my skin feels and I only use the peeling solution 1-2x a week.

I don’t know what’s causing this, i do have hormonal disturbances but its only getting worse despite the treatment :(

Acne flare up 🥲

I had so many high hopes for this facewash. First of all, this product smells like bleach and doesn’t really foam up well to clean your face. I used it for quite a long time and noticed no difference in my face or body acne and I’d say it even made my face worse even though my skintype is oily as hell. 

I used it a couple of times a week while showering and sometimes my skin would feel cleansed and fresh right after but a few hours, a lot worse. 

Unfortunately, I don’t think it has done anything on improving my acne or hyperpigmentation. The texture is also very sticky and it’s hard to layer since it foams and it’s prone to piling. 

I’ve been using this everyday for the last 3 months and the good effects seem to be reduced inflammation and hydration. I have repurchased it a few times because it’s an affordable option and I wanna stick to niacinamide as an ingredient. 

It contains alcohol and it can be a bit irritating when i have sensitive skin. 

To be honest, I didn’t think this toner was doing anything much when I used it, but now that I have stopped I’ve been noticing more blackheads and clogged pores. It left my face feeling clean and fresh. 

Can leave a bit of a white cast if you have the untinted version but it’s okay overall. 

This is the first sunscreen I’ve used and it’s really good for my skin. The texture is nice and I use it as a moisturizer in the mornings too. I have the untinted version and sometimes I add a bit of foundation when applying it and it looks alright. 

I haven’t noticed much effect on actual hyperpigmentation and acne scars. 

I love this serum because it really calms my skin during breakouts and irritation. It soothes the redness almost immediately and that’s why I always reach out for it when my skin is reactive/sensitive or when I compulsively pick my acne 😬
