Is it safe to use a serum with hyaluronic acid followed by a moisturizer with hyaluronic acid?

I get a lot of acme. Not horrible breakouts but at any given moment have any least one brewing. I have huge pores. My skin is on the oilier side and I feel like using 2 (or more!) products really makes my skin sticky and is probably clogging my pores!

is it necessary to use a serum AND moisturizer?

I'm 38 and I get HUGE pimples that seemingly pop up out of nowhere!! How can I help prevent this and how do I treat it? Most "spot treatments" I've tried do not work at all. Not only are they ugly but sometimes they're painful!

The serum is very easy to apply, I really like the brush - it makes it easy to get even the smallest lashes.
I have short, blonde eyelashes, I think this serum has made them a little thicker and they look darker

Dispenses easily and is gentle on irritated skin. I'm currently experiencing a hormonal acne breakout so much.skin is very red and flared up. This didn't irritate it any further or make it worse
