I need help with my skincare routine. I've been thinking of layering these two serums. 
Should I use one in the AM and the other in PM? Or should I layer them (if yes, which one should I apply first?)

Serum layering

I have been using an eye cream for a while now and I noticed that it contains glitter. I want to know if it has any side effects for my skin? Or is it an ingredient to avoid?

Glitter in skincare

My face has been sweating since my high school days and to this day, I cannot tolerate any heat 😭 (I start to sweat when temperature is above 22 degrees Celsius). I have simplified my routine in the morning: Cleanser and sunscreen. However, I still sweat. I recently tried to apply my sunscreen almost 40 min-1 hour before going outside and my sweating did decrease a bit (like 10%). But I would like to know your opinion and suggestions about this.

Edit: I tried to include hydrating products (HA serum and cream) in my routine that I apply the night before going outside and it helped tremendously! I avoid exfoliating products that same night and it’s a lot better!

Hello, 
I consider myself a newbie to skincare, but I heard that alcohol denat is not good for your skin and the products that have this ingredient should be avoided. I am concerned about this because many sheet masks that I use have alcohol denat in it. Is alcohol denat so bad?😕 (I know that hand sanitizer contains alcohol denat (at least 60%) that is used as a germ killer)

HELP!!! ALCOHOL DENAT

I want to be honest. I found dr.sheee on instagram a while ago and I ignored her content as it didn’t concern me. But now I stumbled again on her profile and I’m tired of her bs about some claims. As a south asian myself but with fair skin, I know about women who struggle because of their skin color and conditions. Constantly bleaching, using whitening creams or steroids creams is the norm. 

I never bleached to whitewash myself but to lighten my facial hair (I likely have pcos). I stay away from those creams as I know their side effects and I know that I don’t need them. But I struggled for a while and it’s not easy.

Now, dr.sheee is not a dermatologist nor a chemist but she claims that some DIY masks will disappear pores in 10 minutes or that mixing sugar and water creates glycolic acid to exfoliate the skin or making natural bleach with lentils. Those claims are wrong in every way possible. She has good skin (it’s not entirely those diy masks that helped achieve that skin imo) and promote taking care of it and I respect that. Other than this, she’s using south asian women’s insecurities to grow her page and get opportunities as a content creator. I do not find her truthful nor honest and it’s misleading.

I appreciate any input from her followers or non followers regarding her or this topic.

I patch tested this moisturizer beforehand and I had no reaction. But it irritated my face. Would not recommend to people with sensitive skin.

It has a creamy texture and gets easily absorbed. I did use it on my neck and décolleté and it’s very moisturizing and soothing. Can be used as a regular cream for hydration and moisturizing benefits. 

The fragrance is overwhelming sometimes but fades away quickly.


Has a gel like consistency and contains hydrating and anti-aging ingredients. I do use this serum on days my skin feels dehydrated (I use products for acne treatment so my skin tends to get dry). It is very moisturizing and I usually skip moisturizer after applying this.

I received this product free from Picky and Coxir to test it and give my honest review.

It’s 21 CAD $ but the tube lasts a long time. I experienced rarely some flakiness on my acne spots. Although I noticed my acne and skin texture improving in 1 week after using this, the effects plateaued for at least a month before seing some effectiveness again.

- Fast absorbing 
- Contains 0.5 % salicylic acid (the formula is a bit different in 🇨🇦 though)
- I used it 4-5 times a week (initially 1-2 times a week then increase) for 3 months and used equivalent of half the tube (40 ml)

I had acne all over my cheeks and forehead before and now almost all the acne has faded but I do have acne scars now. In the end, my skin texture also has improved a lot. It was my first acne treatment product and it is a holy grail product for me! I do recommend to decrease exfoliation while using this and to not use more than 4-5 times a week or else it can cause irritation. 

The fragrance is overly strong that I really don&#39;t like when applying the product on my skin. Not moisturizing and hydrating for my skin and gave little red bumps on my skin (maybe an allergic reaction) and became itchy. The cream went bad before the expiry date, it was awful.

I do not like the scent but it’s bearable (not overwhelming)-> the product does have a scent even though it’s fragrance free.

Light gel (jiggly, jelly like) texture and foams well and my skin feels clean. Doesn’t dry out my skin and good for everyday use.
