I have just been recently keen on skin care products. So, I am basically a newbie when it comes to all the brands and lines out there which I have lost count already. For the past several months that I have been loitering and scrolling on various Skin Care groups in different social networking platforms, Picky is by far my most favorite. Through Picky, I have seen hundreds or thousands of great skin care products and one of them is COMMONLABS. 

COMMONLABS is a skin care line which originated from Korea. And tbh, I have created this mindset that if not all, most of the Korean skin care products can do wonders on your skin. Same with Japanese products. I am Asian so I think these products will be of more efficacy for me since they are formulated for, if not exactly Asian, similar to our skin tropes.

🌱 Main Ingredients: Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract(72%) and Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil (claims to calm downs the skin)

Glycereth-26, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Propanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Water, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Allantoin, Arginine, Pinus Densiflora Leaf Extract, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract, Citrus Junos Fruit Extract, Tocopherol(100ppm), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Dextrin, Artemisia Annua Extract, Madecassoside, Limonene

💬 Claims:
🟢 Returns skin balance by soothing and calming down skin (especially if irritated)
🟢 Treats acne from its roots

So here are my honest thoughts about the COMMONLABS Vitamin E Calming Ampoule:

📦 About the packaging
💚 Firstly, I love the design of the bottle and the color. Looks simple but classy. It has this minimalist aesthetic design, no wordy info on the container itself, they are all written on the box. Make sure to keep the box tho so you can check it when you need it later, but product info can also be searched through the net.

💚 The bottle is translucent but you can clearly see the ampoule inside. I love raising it against lights to see its perfect glory, tiny bubbles inside the thick liquid. Upon popping the dropper or pipette, I was kinda bothered for the structure cause it is crooked! (Told you I am a newb!) But I later realized that it has a purpose: it controls the amount of the liquid perfectly.

🧴 About the product itself
It has thick texture but flowy at the same time. Watery but with gel-like property. Not sticky and not heavy, gets easily absorbed by my skin.
Smells like herbs with a hint of spice. Very potent in a good sense. Not overpowering. Very organic. Well, me being dumb sometimes got a bit of particles on my eye, it stung for a bit. Proved the spice I was saying.

🧏 Experiences
Used it for 3 weeks now and I noticed that the redness of my face and neck had lessened. Receiving this product is such a perfect timing for the cold seasons. It provides extra moisture for my skin and helps it stay supple. Moisturizes the base of my nose and corners of my mouth when they are flaky dry. 

On the other hand, it didn't significantly lessen my acne. I am still having breakouts. They are very red and some gets bigger than the average acne, worse is some have zits. But I know that it takes time and effort to really see changes so I just gotta be patient. 

⭐ Verdict
I love this product!!! It works great with the Vitamin E Micro Needle Spot Cream. Hope I get to see significant results soon 🤍

COMMONLABS Vitamin E Calming Ampoule

Hello Picky Friends! Here are my observation and honest thoughts for the COMMONLABS Vit E Micro Needle Spot Cream 
💚💚💚💚

PACKAGING 
-The container of the spot cream comes with an applicator which is very handy in just putting amount of cream enough for the affected area. The applicator can also be used in spreading the cream evenly so no need to touch your face with fingertips. ❌🧏
- The design is very minimalistic, like other of their products which I find very pleasing and cute.
- The container itself doesn't contain the  list of ingredients (similar again to their other products). They are all written on the box.

TEXTURE
- Very firm cream. Not flowy. 
- No potent fragrance, it smells like any common creams but with hint of herbs.

INGREDIENTS 🍀
Main ings are 54% tea tree leaf extract and Vit E which is good for calming down the skin; 🍃🌿
- patented ingredient for acne care Gesolza (mixture made of three traditional plants originated from East Asia used to deeply target sebum disorders in oily skin: Artemisia Annua, Citrus Junos fruit and Pinus Densiflora leaf)  🌱🍊
The combination of these plants has shown a significant reduction of symptoms generated by acne-prone skin condition.  
Gesolza controls the proliferation of P. acnes and limits lipid accumulation in sebocytes, decreasing sebum content. In addition, it controls skin irritation made by bacteria responsible for acne-prone skin.✨✨

THOUGHTS 💬
- Just within the first 3 days of use, my active pimples slowly flattened and lightened though there were still dark spots. 🌑
- Its effectivity on lightening dark spots may take a week or two of continuous usage.
- There is a prickly sensation each time but it is understandable since the formula has micro needles. It just proves that it is working its magic on the affected areas.
- It is advisable that we only use this with 1-2 days intervals. It takes 70 hours for micro needles to work effectively.

OVERALL: IT WORKS GREAT FOR ME, I'D GIVE IT A 9/10. 🤍


‼️ The prickly sensation sometimes gets out of hand and triggers my skin to itch when it gets very humid at night. It's a good thing I am now using it with the Vit E Calming Ampoule. 🤍

COMMONLABS Vit E Micro Needle Spot Cream 💚

I'm using tretinoin at night together with CeraVe moisturizing cream but it's kind of getting expensive for me since I have limited funds. 

What could be a great substitute for CeraVe but would work the same and also cheaper?
Anything that's available in Asian countries or globally..

Alternative for CeraVe

Ever since wearing mask started to be the norm, it seemed like pimples on my chin and along my jaw has been the norm too. 😭 Pimples just keep breaking out even on my neck and they get really itchy at times. - Felt stinging when I leave it on my face for more than 3 minutes. 
- Makes my face feel like on fire too when left on face longer. Saddens me cause the required time is 10-15 minutes.

- Very creamy but firm texture. Not flowy. 
- It has sweet milky fragrance that I like. 
- Makes my skin feel so smooth after rinsing off the cream. 
- For best result in pore refining, you have to use it regularly, 2-3 times a week, not everyday tho.

It contains alcohol and has very strong chemical smell. 

Causes itch and sting on the face.

Can cause irritation and slight burning sensation when used too much than necessary.

⭐ This product is really affordable and easy to find in the PH market. Can be bought in either drugstores or supermarkets (Robinson's, LCC, SM, Watsons)

🧴 The bottle of 7.5 mL can last up to a month with moderate use.
🎁 It comes with a box where you can find all the information you might need, from the ingredients-directions for use and its claims.
      It also has QR and bar codes regarding the manufacturer and the product itself.
      Other available products of this line is also written on the top flap of the box.

🟢 Quickly dries up pimples.
🟢 Cheap and available anywhere in the Philippines.

Sadly, despite it having ingredients and actives perfect for my skin type, it didn&#39;t work well for me. It makes my face feel really dry and rough.

No fragrance which is good for my skin type. The box is aesthetic. I am happy that the soap is sold in generous size.

It has AHA, BHA and Niacinamide which are good for drying up pimples.

I cannot say a thing that is bad about this product!

Been using this for a week now. Can&#39;t find the ones in the tube from the supermarket so I just grabbed the sachet. 

- Very affordable!
- Water-based and flowy
- Has natural aloe vera extracts 🍃
- Has fragrance similar to aloe vera gels.
- Felt so soft and smooth on my skin 🧡
- My face felt so refreshed and smooth, totally nourished and hydrated! 😍
- NO STINGING FELT 🥰
