I’ve found myself going astray from my usual application of a suncream during this time of year (I know I can’t believe I’m admitting this crime 🥺😂) because my skin is such an oil slick that the suncream sometimes doesn’t help… like at all! 

I’m hoping some of you picky users can help me!! 

What suncream do you use for your oily/ combination skin? 

I’m currently using the No7 factor 50 (tagged) which is great but still does make my skin more oily a lot of the time however I like the high SPF and anti-aging ingredients! Anything similar but better for my skin type would be highly appreciated!

Best Suncream For Oily Skin?

I’ve heard a lot of different opinions on this topic so I wanted to ask your opinions! 

Are moisturisers with spf worth it if you are using a normal spf on top of your skincare anyway? 

I personally don’t keep an eye out for spf in moisturisers/ Foundations as I personally don’t think I put on enough to make it worth my while and I’d much rather just use a normal SPF on top afterwards.

what do you think about it?

Mine would have to be that i should have used toothpaste on my blemishs, that I don’t need to wear a SPF when there is already an SPF in my foundation, and the “best” way to wash your face is just with “good old fashioned soap and water” 😮‍💨

What is the WORST skincare advise you’ve ever received?

We all have our own skin struggles, some more than others, however I’m curious if everyone’s skin has a period of purging? 

Around once every 2 months my skin goes through a big breakout faze… I’ll get painful under the skin spots with a mix of surface spots to add to the disaster zone. My skin is generally quite clear the rest of the time.  Nothing will trigger this as it still will do this when I’ve stuck to the same skincare and makeup products. 

Does your skin do this? Does it breakout like mine or does it do somthing different? How have you learnt to control your skins purges?

How Often Does Your Skin “Purge”?

I found this cream a little bit… meh… it didnt smell great, it did moisturise my skin but i didnt see any other changes in my skin… it just didnt have any “wow” factor that i was hoping for! I think if you have dry skin it is defo worth a try 

I got a mini size of this cream in my advent calender this year… i liked the thick texture of the cream and i found a little went a long way so you wouldnt need alot each time you used it! It didnt break me out ether even though i have oily skin! 

The only downfall in my eyes to this product is the sizing options. 
On the official TanOrganic website, the 80ml pot is currently listed as £46. However this is the only size that they sell. Typically, it is becoming a lot more common for brands (especially Brands that sell primarily online) to sell smaller sizes so people can try the product before they commit fully.  
However, after doing some digging, I found that this WonderBalm is available currently for £25 on duty-free Virgin Atlantic flights!!

I was very sceptical about using a multi-use balm to begin with! Especially with bold claims including it can be used anywhere on the body including the face. However after using this product for the last 4&#47;5 months I can safely say I am a big fan.  

My favourite form of application is using this balm as an alternative night cream due to it being very rehydrating and nourishing on my face. I have also used it on the lips , feet, elbows, legs, and ends of my hair. It really rehydrates the skin&#47;hair and it does an amazing job of getting rid of any dryness. 

My face is naturally quite oily however this balm has not broke me out or contributed to my skins oil production despite it being mainly formulated with natural oils. I feel like my skin looks more radiant! 

Another point to add is that I love the packaging which mainly consists of a glass pot encased in bamboo which is far better for the environment than the typical plastic pots and tubes. Like stated at the beginning I’ve been using this balm for the last 4&#47;5 months and I’m about halfway through my first 80ml pot so a little goes a long way!  

It also states on the front that this balm is cruelty free, vegan, anti-fungal and claims to build a protective shield against the elements. What’s not to love?

The only “bad” thing i can think of to say about this mask is i wish it wasnt a one time use and you got more of the mixing agents so you could clean out the tub and use it a few times rather than buying a whole new plastic tub each time!

This is my all time fave mask!!!! I love how it makes my skin look hydrated and feel smooth after using. Also, i love that its gentle and doesnt hurt to remove after its dried (even on my partners face and he has a beard). The application and mixing process is fun! The packaging is also very cute. If you’re using this with friends you can probably get 3 masks worth out of the tub too!

The smell is very artificial and “soap-like” which is not the nicest! It sometimes feels a little bit stripping on my face aswell dispite my skin being oily! 
If i had a blemish on my skin at the time too… OH BOY…IT STINGS! 

I used this as my “second cleanse” after most of my makeup is already removed from my first cleanse and it lathers well and you get alot in the bottle for your money

Did make my skin feel a little sensitive at first if i used too many times in a week before building up my tolorence to the product. I also found if i use more than 2 pumps from the tube my skin can feel a little “overwhelmed”

I started off using this twice a week and then building it up to daily usage. My skin is really benifiting from using it though! Since using my “Mask-ne” has gone and my skin is alot softer than before! My skin still gets oily throughout the day however for breakouts and anti ageing i highly recommend this product
