What do you usually add if you are under retinoid/retinol treatment to aid its side effects (e.g. redness)?

Retinol/Retinoid Treatment

There are days that it can cause some redness in your skin.

This products contains 3 ingredients that must be included in your skincare products, namely: AHA, BHA &amp; Vitamin C. I think this is an upgraded version of COSRX AHA&#47;BHA Toner and a must-try. This is so sooothing in the face and non-irritant in my case. I have a very sensitive skin and I like the fact that it does not sting. Also I love that the scent is very mild.

I hope this product also contains Vitamin C like their ABC toner :)

AC Collection Calming Liquid Mild
This an alcohol-free toner that does not sting. I do not prefer adding toner especially in days that I’ll be wearing masks for more than 8 hours but this is a good booster in your skincare routine. It contains camella sinensis water, gluconolactone and betaine salicylate. I think this product is my least favorite among the 4.

I do not find any negative thing about this product :)

AC Collection Lightweight Soothing Moisturizer
As its name implies, this moisturizer is lightweight and just leaves my skin a slight tacky feeling. This is perfect in my oily skin and   I think this also helps in calming my breakouts. It has aloe barbadensis leaf extract, propolis extract and green tea extract that soothes and calms my skin. It also contains niacinamide and Zinc PCA that can control excessive sebum production as well as citric acid and betaine salicylate that can remove dead skin cells. I love the consistency of the product and how it can make your skin dewy.

It stings for about a minute after using the product

This is one of the products that I can recommend to address maskne. A toner that contains AHA and BHA. I also love its herby smell.

The only negative thing about this product is its price

Acne mechanica, commonly known as “maskne” is prevalent nowadays. This is caused by constant friction and pressure from wearing mask resulting in the formation of pesky whiteheads and blackheads. To address this issue, I personally use COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. It is infused with 4% betaine salicylate, a gentle form of BHA that can penetrate into your skin. I have a sensitive and acne-prone skin and I like the fact that it is non-irritating and does not sting. Indeed, another holy grail product for me! :)
