When the Purito sunscreen ordeal happened, people questioned beet shield. In response, Liah Yoo said that if you question all Korean sunscreens, you’re xenophobic. She then told everyone that beet shield is safe to use, and still says it is even though she can’t disclose the spf results and is taking it off the market.

Earlier this week, I had already decided to not buy from Krave anymore after her treatment of BIPOC came to light, and how she goes to a homophobic church and won’t make her stance on gay marriage clear.

I loved and recommended beet shield to everyone I knew and now I’m sending them the refund form with an apology.

I loved their matcha cleanser and GBR but it feels wrong for me to still support such a problematic brand.

Does anyone feel the same? Is there a good sunscreen you can recommend? Or a GBR dupe?

Edit to add: I’m not here to change anyone’s mind. If you can’t live without these products 🤷‍♀️ I’m just letting those that are conscious about such things know.

We need to hold all brands to the same level of transparency we expect from Korean brands now.

We should question all our sunscreen spf claims and make sure we know we are getting the protection that these brands are advertising.

I’ve always hated neutrogena sunscreen but that’s what my parents bought for us at the beach growing up; it is completely awful that sunscreen regulation is so poor in the United States and United States manufacturers and wherever else they’re made (Germany and the UK) should be held to the same standard of outcry and disbelief as Korean skincare.

Can we talk about how Farmacy seemed to just blatantly copy these specific I’m From’s products? I’m From had these products before Farmacy. Has anyone tried this honey glow cream? How does it compare to the Farmacy honey halo?

Didn’t notice any major differences in skin improvement but it gets the job done of cleaning my face and feels great while doing so

Gentle, moisturizing gel cleanser. No strong scent, which I appreciate. It works into a good lather and does a great job for my second cleanse both during the morning and night

It really did nothing for my eyes. Sometimes I’d put it on and my skin around my eyes would start burning. I feel like I paid for a really expensive moisturizer.

Not fragranced, I prefer this squeeze tube packaging for maintainjng efficacy as opposed to the standard open packagng of a lot of other eye creams
The cream glides on easily

Can be boring but at least it’s a tad more exciting than the cetaphil cleanser or the etude house soon jung whip cleanser

Such a lovely cleanser and great for the price
It feels very similar to the cetaphil gentle cleanser but does a better job cleansing in my opinion.
It is also great value for the price and size

A little slimey, might not be for everyone

So hydrating! I love ths slip; it’s like a thinner version of the cosrx snail mucin. It has a tad bit of a slimey texture which I love. It’s very easy to layer between products, I love it and have four backups that I bought when they were on sale at Ulta.

Sometimes it’s not hydrating enough and I need an emollient on top

Love love this cream. It applies well on mh skin and leaves my skin deeply moisturized. I actually prefer this to the snail all in one cream.
