So I've been struggling with the aftermath of one of my worst breakouts yet 😀
So, I would panic and use differin or a bha or azelaic acid in order to try get rid of pih and acne. It wasn't getting any better obviously. For about 3 days, I've been focusing on repairing my skin barrier with no harsh treatments (vitamin c is the strongest active I've used which I find helps with the healing process) and my skin is clearing up!!

Sometimes we forget that our skin is really clever!

My plan moving forward is using a weaker retinol (not adaplene) with a BP wash whenever tolerated. I've never tried BP so I'm really excited but I've got to find a BP wash available in the UK or buy off iherb. Any recs?? 

Sometimes it's too much 🤷‍♀️

I'm on the hunt for some of the best sunscreens however that can be rly pricey and I'm a massive perfectionist 😩

What r ur favourite sunscreens?
Here's what I look for in mine:
-no whitecast
-doesn't leave skin oily/matte, just a nice healthy glow (not too much tho)
- applies easily/no pilling
-affordable
-preferably mineral
-preferably waterproof for summer

The canmake mermaid uv gel clear spf50 works well for me however its quite small and not waterproof

I live in the UK and I've noticed that there are many more 'drugstore' brands in the USA than here. Its also harder to get acne treatments otc (although I get adaplene and panoxyl from iherb without prescription).

How have you been treating your acne? By seeing derms? Are they helpful? By shopping online? Or simply seeing what's in boots?

Not cruelty free. Will recommend to newbies to chemical exfoliants, however more experienced users may find leave on exfoliants work better &lt;3

Affordable, good cleanser, incorporating salicylic acid in a wash off form. This is the perfect introduction to those who want to start chemical exfoliants as washing it off after 30s will cause minimal irritation :)
Foams nicely and cleanses very well without stripping the skin

For my oily skin, I was looking for something to control my oil levels rather than nourish or reduce redness etc and I found that the ordinary niacinamide serum did a much better job at that. I know that some people have a bad reaction to this product but that is just what I found works better for me in the am so I don&#39;t look like a grease factory. However when my skin is sensitised or dehydrated, I love reaching for this one! I gave this a 5 star review because even though it wasn&#39;t what I was looking for in the am, doesn&#39;t make it a bad product. If you are looking to start a niacinamide serum, I recommend starting with this one xx

Wow! The inkey list never fails to impress! This gorgeous niacinamide serum is at a good 10% concentration along with other hydrating and nourishing ingredients (glycerin, squalane, hyaluronic acid and more). Really exciting ingredient list for such an affordable price. I will forever love inkey! My sister (more normal&#47;dry skin) really enjoyed this product too. Definitely recommend!

Firstly I&#39;d like to thank picky and varuza for goving this product to me in exchange for a review! Although I was required to give a review, all thoughts are my own, honest opinion 😊

This gel cleanser is made with vegan mucin, although I don&#39;t know what that entails... If anyone knows let me know in the comments! Unfortunately I couldn&#39;t get much information about the product online (which is a bit unusual as varuza as a website) but I did find the ingredients on the picky app? Anyways, I found that it has many humectants, skin conditioners and decyl glucoside (a gentle surfactant). This was evident when I saw the immediate hydrating and conditioning feel after using this product! 

✨ Hydrating and non-stripping (great for a morning cleanse) 
✨ Innovative ingredient list
✨ Gel texture

❌ The packaging would make a lot of product come out at once, which wastes a lot of product 
❌ Non-foaming. I personally don&#39;t like non-foaming cleansers as I don&#39;t know when I&#39;ve cleansed my skin and my oily skin seems to favour the foamy effect. 
❌ Not a strong enough cleanse for the evening for me (oily&#47;combo acne prone skin) 
❌ There&#39;s fragrance in this so be weary if you&#39;re sensitive to fragrance. The smell to me was not pleasant. It smelled like a cheap melon body wash... 

I wouldn&#39;t repurchase this. Personally, I thought this cleanser was okay. The ingredients excited me however I just don&#39;t think it&#39;s right for me. People with dry skin may enjoy this more as I did enjoy it in the morning for a gentle cleanse!

Honestly, nothing! Maybe not for dryer types though :)

Very soothing, provides a good amount of niacinamide and is packed with antioxidants to prevent free radical damage

If you have dryer skin, the moisturising CREAM would be a better alternative for you. 
Rarely left me greasy. 
Cerave does test on animals though. 
Basic, affordable moisturiser, liked the experience :)

I have oily acne prone skin, good for night time for me and I use it in the day only if its very dry, rarely leaves me greasy. Basic, good, affordable moisturiser. Defo worth a try if you have normal to oily skin!
