How does everyone like to organize their samples? Do you group them by packaging (foils, squeeze tubes, bottles, jars etc), by product (cleansers, toners, serums…), by brand or do you just kinda toss them all together? Would love to hear or see how you organize & store your samples!!!

Do you use a Toner like you would micellar water after you have just cleansed & rinsed? Or do you make sure that your face is fully cleansed before applying Toner so it can actually tone the skin? I’ve seen some say they use it to remove anything that the cleanser didn’t rinse off & others say the cleanser should’ve already cleansed properly.

Is Toner a type of “second cleanse”?

What’s your take on the “blackhead removing” silk/cocoon/silkworm finger balls? Have you ever tried one? Would you try one or do you think it is more of a “fun activity” to include occasionally?

Do you think the SPF in skincare products are sufficient enough on their own that you do not need to add an additional sunscreen? For example, if you’re using a moisturizer that contains SPF30 do you think that is sufficient enough for protection? I’d love to hear everyone’s opinions as some brands will say that there is no need to use an additional SPF if you’re using their products. I personally always use an additional SPF regardless of what a brand recommends when it comes to their product’s protection factor.

Let’s talk about tools & devices! The market is saturated with devices from different brands such as Tripollar, the former Clarisonic, Neutrogena, Tria, Michael Todd, Foreo, Dr Dennis Gross, NuFace and the list goes on and on and on. Do you find some of them to be effective, a gimmick made to take your cash or do you just enjoy the sensorial experience of using the tool/device? Have you had any devices that had problems from the get go or malfunctioned that required you to return it or toss it if it was past the warranty date? For those of you who own numerous devices…do you find it to be worth the hassle of having to charge your devices continuously & how do you prefer to keep track of which device needs to be charged this week/month etc…do you like using a notebook to write down when you last charged each device, or using an app to keep track or do you just happen to be sitting on the couch one day and remember that device you forgot about hasn’t been charged for a couple months now (I am definitely one of the couch people that remembers I haven’t charged a certain device for months now 😂)

Are beauty tools & devices worth the hassle?

Personally not using this one on my face because the granules are just a little too abrasive for me. Have been using on my neck & décolleté area, but, mainly as a body scrub. Reaaaally like it much more as a body scrub. 

Genuinely like this brand. Have had many more hits than misses when it comes to their lines. I love some chemical exfoliation, however, sometimes I want that instant gratification that comes with a manual scrub…as long as the scrub isn’t “wolverining” my face. Sugar based exfoliants are preferred if they fully dissolve. With that said, here’s my experience. Very small, petite jar with screw off lid. Cover underneath lid w/pull tab that isn’t textured, no issues w/removal though. Small, plastic, mass produced spatula included (wish jar was a little wider so I could store spatula under the lid). Love the molasses like fragrance. Was happy to see the use of black strap powder along with Cocoa extract in the formula bc my skin seems to handle these better in a scrub & the black strap is not that easy to find. Color of scrub resembles molasses with that dark hue. The granules in this are rather abrasive & could do some real damage if not cautious. It took quite a while to get this fully dissolved. Due to this I prefer using on my décolleté region & my lower jaw line (I made sure my skin was soooaked before using this w/warm water) as opposed to my entire face. Thankfully, there is quite the oily undertone to this scrub which is rather nourishing & helps with massaging in. I don’t want to waste this bc of not using on my face often so I’m using this as a body scrub instead. This 1.69oz scrub is available on Amazon ranging from $13-$20. Repurchased a couple extra while on sale to use solely as a body scrub bc after removing it leaves my skin feeling super soft & hydrated w/out causing any negative reactions or micro-tears, broken capillaries, etc. 

If you’re sensitive to certain botanical extracts like Rosemary, peep the ingredients first. 

I don’t think I’ve ever previously tried PURE’AM before that I can remember so I’m interested in finding out more about the brand in general (if anyone has details on this brand, please, do share). I received the Super Glow Dew Face Oil about 3 weeks ago and have been using mainly at night after my moisturizer twice a week or I use in conjunction with a Gua/Roller (had to be quick & use more than intended bc this absorbs & dries rather quickly). I’ve got some big hitting oils that I never thought I would replace, however, that cycle seems to be breaking. Let me start with the packaging for this…I’m a sucker for packaging and small touches like a ribbon just seem to give products that tiny bit more of a “luxe” look. I really liked the consistency with not being overly runny to the point it would slide down my arms, it had a bit of thickness to it. The scent is well balanced with a floral touch. The pinkish hue (perhaps due to the lithospermum root extract) in the clear bottle & black label just really pops in my opinion & is definitely an eye catcher. Bulb pulls product nicely with no issues. Really like the oils that are being used in this formula. My favorite thing though was the after-feel….or lack thereof bc this didn’t leave that “weighted, greasy” feeling that some oils tend to do regardless of how much is applied & I am a lover for instant gratification so the glow and hydration was definitely noted. Reminds me a bit of a serum/oil hybrid in a way with the consistency & texture once it absorbs. Loved the dewy finish. Definitely want to try more products & learn about this brand. You can find this 1oz/30mL Oil at a price point of around $45, that may be out of budget for some which is understandable, times are tough right now for many…if you do have some extra cash and are looking for a new face oil to treat yourself though, would definitely recommend giving this one a go. 



Ingredients list for this runs for days. If you’re not a fan of silicones & fragrance this isn’t the product for you. 

I’m rather critical when it comes to overnight masks only bc I’ve had apocalyptic type of reactions to certain overnight packs. When it came to trying this Multi-Function Sleep Pack I took things slowly. Arrived in a bubble mailer that caused the boxed packaging to arrive a little creased, I don’t mind this though. Like the pastel duo with the white for the packaging & black labeling. Sleek squeeze tube containing 1.69oz. Dispenses quickly in a fine line & is easy to manage the amount you want to dispense. Was for some reason thinking this was going to be more translucent when dispensed, but, it reminds of an opaque white gel cream. One thing that did have me a little surprised was the length of the ingredients list. If you’re not into mineral oil, dimethicone or fragrances this is definitely not the one for you. The scent itself didn’t cause any reactions, however, I have to be honest….the scent slaps, pretty hard bc it is just so noticeable. Application is simple. Glides easily along without any piling, didn’t require any firm pressing to help ensure properly absorption. The barrier created wasn’t bothersome. Left behind a smooth after-feel and no problems with transferring once I went to bed since it completely absorbs. Next morning my skin felt refreshed & any fine lines had that “blurred effect”. I used a foaming cleanser the next morning to remove the mask. No issues with that. Left a nice soft feeling behind for the rest of the day. Also used as a regular wash off by applying a thicker layer & letting it sit for about 5mins before removing. I preferred this masking method being used right toward the end of my shower instead of overnight to be honest, but, using it as a cream instead of a mask was even better in my opinion. Bc of how multi-functional this is with the different ways I can use it, would definitely repurchase for $18.

Have not had any bad experience with using this cleanser.

Honestly feel like the name alone of this brand speaks for itself bc it is THAT established. This brand being, Rovectin. If you’re into K-Beauty you know about the giant, if you’re into skincare in general you probably know of this brand…if you haven’t heard of it though, you will eventually see or hear something about them. The Skin Essentials (Advanced) Conditioning Cleanser is one I personally like using as a basic cleanser when my skin may be a bit more sensitive or as a second cleanse in the evening bc this does great removing anything remaining from the first cleanse. This pump bottle arrived in full plastic wrap that was easy to remove. Took a few “spins” to release the pump…by a few spins I mean this had me thinking it was never going to give lol, but, eventually it did. I do wish it was possible to lock the pump in place after using. Took a total of 7 pumps to prime as the texture was a little thick, but, not to the point it had trouble being pulled. Dispensing was easy. Doesn’t require a lot of product to get a full cleanse for both face & neck. Cleanser works well with many options used for cleansing….devices, brushes, silicone, hands, foaming net, etc. Liked getting this at a balance of being a gentle lather with a nice light foam. Slightly scented w/a hint of coconut, didn’t find it bothersome. Extremely hydrating, I focus specifically on my cheeks with this as there is very little oil production produced in that area…it isn’t to the point of lacking sebum production completely, however, due to this it stays a bit dry along that area. Favorite aspect of this was how gentle this Cleanser is. No negative after-feel of any kind. Big fan of the formula, especially bc of a few specific ingredients included…the Amino Acids, HAs, Grape Seed Extract/antioxidants, Centella. Honestly don’t think I’ve ever tried a product by Rovectin that I just did not like. This 5.9oz/175mL is available on Rovectin’s website for $17. 

No bad experiences with this Water Cream. I repurchased many times. 

This is one brand I hold close to heart due to their journey & the relation with cancer in general. If you have not read their “About Us” section on the website yet, you really should. The Lotus Water Cream (*this is not my first time using this cream). I consider this a gift from the God’s bc it agrees with my skin so well. When I accidentally piss off my face this is one of the “recovery “ products I reach for when I’m wanting a light, gentle & simple routine to help with my barrier. The squeeze tube arrives with a safety pull off tab under the screw off lid. Stickers are included within the packaging (wish more brands provided “open date” stickers). Water Cream dispenses out nicely & able to control exactly how much I want to dispense (used roughly the size of a quarter for both face & neck). Love the use of the Lotus Water Extract (75%) for the instant hydration & possibly helping irritated skin. No detectable scent. Spreads easily along, no issues with piling or layering other products (I used this after some other Rovectin products). Like the watery appearance that this gives when applying and it feels amazing when applied directly after getting out the shower. I did layer an oil…sometimes I applied after letting the cream dry or mixing the two together & this left my face feeling soooo soft and smooth that my little guy kept rubbing my face while giving me kisses which rarely ever happens. Didn’t leave behind a weighted, greasy after-feel. When I hear the term “water cream” this texture & format of the Lotus Cream is what comes to mind. This makes for a great moisturizer to use during the day, especially in the Summer…during the winter I prefer denser creams that actually have a bit of weight to them in my night routine. This is still worth the buy for a nice morning quench. You can find this 2.03oz/60mL Water Cream on the Rovectin website for around $20.
