What are Skin types? Actually there is no definite or feasible answer to it and it doesn't exist in the contents of dermatology books. However, it contains something called Fitzpatrick scale/skin type. The Fitzpatrick scale is a numerical classification schema for human skin color. It was developed in 1975 by American dermatologist Thomas B. Fitzpatrick as a way to estimate the response of different types of skin to ultraviolet light(Wikipedia definition). And we should rather called quote and quote "skin types" as skin patterns cuz your skin is constantly adapting to environmental and seasonal changes. Skin patterns is also influenced by hormonal changes and all sorts of shenanigans that your body is going through.

Skin types are not real!

1)OTC salicylic acid (BHA) cleanser or treatment can be really beneficial for clearing blackheads, dirt, debris and excessive sebum.
2) Using Topical retinoids which is a Vitamin A derivative. It increases cell turnover and treats abnormal epithelial desquamation. It is known as keratolytic agent.
**Fun fact- Adapalene is the most tolerated ( least skin irritation) and photostable retinoid which can work alongside with Benzoyl peroxide.
3) Use of Antibiotics like clindamycin & erythromycin which has bacteriostatic/bactericidal activity. But unfortunately, it can develop antibiotic resistance.
4) Azelaic acid is known for keratolytic,comedolytic and antimicrobial properties and tyrosinase inhibtor to prevent further hyperpigmentation. It doesn't develop antibiotic resistance.
***Note- Azelaic acid can cause hypopigmentation in darker skinned people.
5)Benzoyl peroxide is a non-antibiotic antimicrobial agent where it releases reactive oxygen species to kill anaerobic Propionibacterium acnes. It shows rapid improvement in inflammatory lesions.
Concentration range- 2%-10%.
6)Use of Chemical Exfoliants like AHA, BHA, PHA and LHA.
***7) Incorporating Skincare regime such as moisturizer which is non-comedogenic and religious use of sunscreen.

Glossary
**Bacteriostatic/bactericidal activity- The definitions of “bacteriostatic” and “bactericidal” appear to be straightforward: “bacteriostatic” means that the agent prevents the growth of bacteria (i.e., it keeps them in the stationary phase of growth), and “bactericidal” means that it kills bacteria.
**Derivative- In chemistry, a derivative is a compound that is derived from a similar compound by a chemical reaction.
**Antibiotic resistance- It means that certain species of bacteria can develop immunity towards antibiotic or become resistant to that medication due to natural evolution.
** keratolytic agent- ''kerato'' means keratinocytes/skin cells & ''lytic" means breakdown. Similarly comedolytic is the breakdown of comedones.
**Hypopigmentation- lack of pigment in the skin.

How Acne is treated??

*Acne is the inflammation of the Pilosebaceous units. And it is caused for following reasons-
1)Increased production of Androgen causes abnormal epithelial desquamation/skin peeling and it leads to the obstruction of the follicles which is filled with lipid rich material. 
2) Inflammation plays a major role in Acne.
3)Acne is caused by Propionibacterium acnes. Fun fact- Sebum actually serves as a substrate for bacterial growth.
4) Androgen production can also lead to the stimulation of the sebaceous glands.

**Pilosebaceous unit - The pilosebaceous unit is composed of a hair follicle, arrector pili muscle, and sebaceous gland.
**Androgen- It is primarily known as male hormone. In addition to that  androgen is present in both male and female in varying quantities. However, it acts as a precursor for the formation of the female hormone called estrogen.

How acne is formed??

It can sting around the eye but it resolves after few minutes.
It contains mild fragrance.

Its a descent organic&#47;chemical sunscreen that doesn&#39;t leave any visible white cast. It is not an ideal sunscreen for sensitive skin cuz Avobenzone doesn&#39;t exhibit photo stability with old sunscreen filters unless it is integrated with new organic sunscreen filters. And it can degrade with exposure of the sun. However, Neutrogena claims that they have a patent for helioplex technology and it primarily focuses on improving the photo stability of Avobenzone.

It has fragrance.
Its old school moisturizer.

Its a reasonable moisturizer at an affordable price. It prevents transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and provides a protective layer to the skin. My unpopular opinion is that lotion means light weight viscosity. So it should be fine for oily skin during the winter time but for summer you gotta switch to more of a gel moisturizer.

It has mild fragrance.
It doesn&#39;t mentions pH number.
And there is a substitute preservative which can be irritating to replace parabens which was safest and irritant free preservative.

Actually this product contains gentle surfactants like decyl glucoside &amp; cocamidopropyl betain (coconut derived surfactant or synthetic surfactant) which is non-stripping to the skin.
It leathers up elegantly.
It is an ideal low pH cleanser.
