Hey guys, my skin gets sooo dry in the winter and honestly nothing seems to help it. I’m looking for products that help especially around my nose and my T-zone for combination skin.

Who else struggles with dry skin in the winter? My skin suffers a lot (especially around my nose and on my hands) 
Any recommendations to help with this? It seems I can moisurize as much as I can and it doesn’t help solve my problem.

 I received these products for free from Picky and House of Dohwa in exchange for my honest review:

📌First off when I opened up my package in the mail, the thing I first noticed was the smart packaging… The twist off lid is easy to open and seal back up to ensure maximum freshness while also allowing the product to come out easily in any amount that you wish. I liked the simplicity of the light grey and white coloration as well as it feels like a clean look and isn’t too cluttered. 

📌 Secondly, once you twist that lid off and squeeze some product out, you notice that it is nice and thick and has a great whipped texture. Super creamy and smooth! I am a person who is HUGE on skincare texture so I really appreciated that. Also to note: There were tiny pieces of rice flecks throughout the whipped texture to allow for some mild exfoliation which was a great touch. 

📌 Then of course, you go in for a smell and notice this really lovely subtle sweet scent that almost smells like vanilla and sugar cookies. It’s very pleasant and not at all strong. It definitely makes it appealing for using on your skin. It feels elegant and fancy between both the scent and texture of the product.

Product claims:
✔️  Hydrates, softens and nourishes skin
✔️ Leaves a supple glowing complexion
✔️ Vegan (using 9 different kind of native rice     bran extract) 

Using 3x a week I had noticed a huge difference in my skins appearance. It definitely did give off a dewy look and made my skin feel bright☀️ and hydrated 💦 Although I should note that it took a few uses for me to really notice the effects. 

Overall I’m thrilled to say that I really enjoyed using this product and will again in future. It’s so light and not harsh that you feel like you can use it day and night with no negative effects. Definitely an item to get if you feel like pampering yourself a little.

House of Dohwa- Rice face mask

First of all, I absolutely love the brand name “The Potions” it makes me feel like I’m in some fairy tale and this stuff is working magic on my face 💁‍♀️

The packaging on this product is minimalistic and tidy. I like the look and love the droppers. The 3 boxes came tucked neatly in a sleeve so you can keep the product all together. 

I also love that the application for all 3 of these products is the same (apply 2-3 drops and rub in to skin) this keeps it simple for someone like myself who doesn’t want to read the instructions several times. I can apply this stuff half asleep and have no worries 😉 

One thing I want to be a little “picky” on is that I was confused about which order to apply these products in. I’m still learning about what different products do and how to use them so it’s not common knowledge for me.
I saw someone else post that they used peptide first, then hyaluronic acid, then jojoba last so I just followed suit hoping it is the correct order 🤷‍♀️

1. Peptide- My first impression is that this is liquidy and refreshing feeling when applying to my skin. It felt calming and I honestly just wanted to dump the whole thing on my face but that would be wasteful. I’ve been having some stress breakouts on my forehead area and it cleared up in a couple of days (which I attribute to this product as I am no less stressed than before) so that’s great 👌

2. Hyaluronic acid- this was slightly thicker and slimier than the peptide but also very refreshing/cooling. The texture was very similar to aloe Vera gel, just a bit runnier. My skin immediately felt more hydrated & it’s safe to say that I love this stuff.

3. Jojoba- This was like the final step of securing and locking in all that moisture/nourishment you just fed your face. It’s an oil-like substance and not as watery/easy to spread but still gets good coverage in just a few drops. I love that even though it’s an oil, it doesn’t make you feel greasy or shiny and absorbs in to your skin fairly quick leaving it feel soft and quenched.

Overall, I LOVE this trio & was very happy to be apart of testing it. In my books it’s a 4.5/5
If there were instructions regarding order of usage then my review would have been 5/5 😊

The potions 🧪 Deep hydrating trio review 🧐

I received this product for free from Picky and SKIN1004 in exchange for my honest review.

📌 First off, I love the packaging on this product! It’s clean and simplistic and looks really nice. The glass bottle is great because you can see all of the many capsules floating in this ampoule and it looks beautiful! It almost looks like a ton of tiny bubbles but when you use the dropper and rub it on your face you feel the little capsules break open which I love!

📌 The texture reminds me of an aloe gel but not as thick and sticky… it’s more spreadable and watery but definitely feels extremely hydrating. 

📌 I use the whole dropper and rub it on my face gently… then as the instructions say, I pat my face to promote moisture absorption. I use this night and day and then follow with my day and night cream. It makes my skin feel great and look like it has a natural glow to it. I also like that my skin just feels so healthy afterwards. 

This is definitely a product I wouldn’t have thought to purchase before getting the opportunity to review but is very luxurious and makes me feel completely pampered. 

5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m in love with this stuff!

Madagascar Centella tone brightening capsule ampoule 😍

I feel like i needed to exfoliate my skin before use as the concealer that was in it made my dry skin stand out more if i did not.

I love the tiny bit of coverage this lotion has for blending on your skin better. Its very subtle so it looks super natural when applied.

Upon first using this cleanser, i was a bit disappointed thinking that it was too light on the skin &amp; that it probably wasnt doing a good job.. no scent, barely felt anything on the skin (no burn, no scrub.. so basically nothing)🤷‍♀️

After using several more times i started to notice that there was a huge difference in my skin. I realized that it is just very gentle and still very effective. I have learned to appreciate no scent on this product but i am not used to that and I could see other people also getting that first impression.

This product is amazingly gentle on the skin! The aloe vera gel base soothes your skin while it foams &amp; effectively cleanses areas in need. The sides of my nose gets rough &amp; dry but after using this, its soft, dewy &amp; fresh to look ar &amp; to touch. I love that it is natural, not tested on animals &amp; is scent free. Great for sensitive skin types!

The smell is really mild and could be prettier
