Your girl, DJ, is in dire need of some TirTir Mask Fit Red Cushion Foundation guidance from you magnificent artists!

Let me first start off by saying, I am entering my third decade, and my makeup skills are exceptionally limited to mascara and lip balm.  😅  I developed severe melasma on my forehead and around my cheeks a few years ago, from lack of sun protection.  Though I am treating it, I am tired of seeing a face in the mirror that isn’t mine anymore.  I know, I know.  It won’t ever FULLY disappear, and I will have to accept it someday.. but who says that day has be today?!

I finally got my hands on some samples of TirTir’s Red Cushion.  🤩  Though I admittedly don’t know the first thing about foundation, I do know that I am warm toned, and that the best shade should also match my neck.  That being said, the shade I finally settled on is 17W.  It blended into my neck seemlessly, and that’s what I wanted most.

However, as the photographic evidence goes to show, I am clearly doing something wrong.  Rather than giving me that silky, seemless finish.. I am getting cakey splotches all over the place.  What am I doing wrong?  Before you ask, no, I do not dermaplane.  Would I ever give it go?  Yes, if I could afford to get it done by a professional, or teach myself without further damaging my face more than I already have.  Also, is that really required to avoided the cake face?  😵‍💫🍰

TirTir Red, HALP!

Being a K-beauty lover in the central United States, my only shopping options are limited to Amazon or TikTok Shop. I have only recently discovered the Olive Young app, and other websites such as Yes Style and Soko Glam. I really want to order from the other websites, however, I have read so many reviews of poor shipping/customer service performance that I am too nervous. Some people have purchased from OY, and waited over a month for their package. Others never received their package at all, and customer service is basically nonexistent when they reach out for a refund. At least I know I can get my money back if something goes wrong ordering from Amazon or TikTok. So, I have some questions for all US based K-beauty shoppers!

01 Which website(s) have you ordered from
02 How long did it take for your package to ship after you completed the purchase
03 How long did it take to receive your package after it shipped
04 How was your experience if you have ever had to contact customer service
05 What is your time zone

Of course, if there is anything else you would like to add other than answering the questions provided you are welcome to do so! Thank you in advance for your input. This information will help me decided whether to stick to the places I have already been shopping from or venture outside the box.

I do not suggest using these if you have any kind of burn. Sunburn or chemical. I burned my face one night using too much retain-A and thought these would help. Unfortunately, it made it worse and hurt even more. The same thing happened when I had a very mild sunburn on my nose and cheeks.

Also, the t-zone area is pretty small. I have to snip it so it lays flat, but I wouldn't consider that a “bad” thing.

VT’s Cica Daily Soothing Mask has become my go-to. The box comes sealed, with plastic tweezers to sanitarily grab each mask. They also lock in place so they don't roll around or get lost. As you can see in the pic I like to keep the seal on and I tuck it in to access the masks. They are soaked, literally 💦D R I P P I N G💦 with essence from the first mask to the last. There is so much of it you can rub the excess down onto your neck and chest and still have extra. As stated in its name, this mask helps soothe away inflammation and redness. I love to use it as the last step in both AM and PM routines to lock in all the goodness from previous steps. I experience a lot of redness during the day, but when I use one of these, I notice a huge difference. It is recommended to put them in the refrigerator for that extra soothing chill and pore shrinking effect. 10 out of 10!
