I impulse bought two new moisturizers in hopes of finding something that would keep me not super shiny during the summer. Does anyone have any experience with either?

The Covergirl one I bought was in a pink container but I can't find it on Picky -- it's the "Clean Fresh Skincare Mattifying Oil-Free Moisturizer"

Hello all! I am already fully submerged and interested in k-beauty skincare and want to delve a little deeper and venture into k-beauty makeup. I'm really interested in trying out a BB cream or cushion. Does anyone have any recommendations? I think Laneige makes a cushion but I'm not sure where else to look.

BB Creams/cushions?

When I use a sheet mask, I generally do it after cleansing (or after physical exfoliation) but I was reading the instructions on one that is being sent to me and it says to put it on after toner. Now I'm curious, do you use toner or essence before a sheet mask? Do you use either product if you're using a sheet mask?? (I don't, oops!)

Happy weekend, all! What are your favourite Heimish products? I'd like to try something I haven't used yet -- I've already used both cleansing balms (absolutely love them), their pH cleanser, BB cream and artless glow base. 

I'm leaning towards one of their makeup palettes.. their new SPF looks good too but I haven't seen many reviews on it yet!

We should talk about the elephant in the room – yes, this is a luxury product and comes with a luxury price tag. Personally, I think this is worth the splurge or birthday wishlist if you’re in the market for an anti-aging serum. My skin is looking plump and smooth lately!

Experience
Talk about innovative! This serum is like 3 serums in one with a triple chamber for each potent ingredient, only touching when you dispense them into your hand for application. The packaging is so luxe and eye catching, it stands out on my skincare shelf. I also love the pump, it dispenses smoothly. Two pumps is all you need for your whole face!

I did originally have an issue with getting all three serums to dispense so if that happens to you, turn it upside down and give it a couple hard shakes to remove air pockets – the hyaluronic acid serum naturally has microbubbles which may accumulate in the chamber.

The texture on this product is slightly oily on application but quickly “dries” into a beautiful, velvet-y feel and leaves just a small hint of tackiness but no stickiness. It does have a perfumed scent (fragrance/parfum is listed as the last ingredient) but I find that it disappears once the serum dries down and isn’t bothersome at all.

This is such a classic, solid product and the hype around it is so well deserved. I was worried that as someone with mostly oily skin, this would be too rich for me but it has earned a spot in my night time routine for my dry cheeks, especially when I’m sandwiching retinol. The texture is rich and creamy, but still somehow lightweight and absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky residue. There is no added fragrance but this cream does have a light scent that is not offending at all, it’s a bit plant-like to me. It boasts a pH level of 5.5 which is optimal for the skin and Neopharm’s patented MLE technology is the shining star to help create a membrane on the skin to help protect and nourish while also promoting a stronger skin barrier. The packaging is very simple and I especially love that the boxes are made from eco-friendly paper that is free of elemental chlorine and printed with soy ink.

I was most excited to receive this product because of my daughter. She has eczema-prone skin and I had been noticing some small flare-ups with the changing weather. This cream is like a second skin and you’d never know that she has skin issues. We were most successful when applying this in very light, quickly absorbing layers to her trouble spots (neck, armpits, knees, ankles, etc). I’ll be stocking up on this cream as well as the lotion to use under it. If you have irritated, dry skin and are looking for something to not just soothe and hydrate but actually repair your skin, I’d highly recommend @atopalm_global MLE Cream or any product with Neopharm’s MLE technology.

There is a light (but not offending IMO) scent to this product and it may not be hydrating enough for some dry skinned folk.

This handy, hypoallergenic stick has been such an amazing tool and I used it a lot while I had a cold. Normally, my nose gets rubbed raw from blowing it so much but I used this stick balm whenever I could and it truly helped to keep my sore nose moisturized. This is perfect for wind-chapped skin, especially when you’re out and don’t want to take off gloves to apply a cream. I love the mess free application and really appreciate that the MLE technology in Neopharm products is also in this stick to help promote a healthy skin barrier.

This stick does have a light scent, I believe due to the sage oil but I found it to be pleasant. It doesn’t linger long and I was surprised that while the stick itself is basically made of oil, it doesn’t leave a greasy residue. It soaks into the skin remarkably well and I love that there’s so much panthenol in this product, it truly is so soothing and healing. This will definitely be a staple in my winter skincare routine as an “emergency/use as needed” product.

I'd caution people who are adverse to fragrance to proceed with caution -- it is scented and has ingredients that occur naturally in essential oils.

This toner was my very first toner ever and I've repurchased it for years. It's so incredibly simple (just a handful of ingredients) and rose water is so sentimental for me, reminding me of my childhood and my grandmother (who used to make rose water with me and we'd dab it on our cheeks and neck), so spraying this toner on my face calms me and makes me feel so happy and at ease. I find it to be super calming on my face and keeps my skin hydrated, whether I use it during a skincare routine or just as a spritz before reapplying SPF in the middle of the day. It's very light and soaks in beautifully, and the spray bottle works very efficiently to disperse the product evenly. I always come back to this toner and absolutely love it, even after all this time.

I can’t speak to how this will look on more melanated skin, but I’d expect at least a small white cast.

As a sun stick aficionado, I was super excited at the prospect of testing a mineral one, and I am grateful to @bentoncosmetic for sending me theirs to try out. This stick is shaped differently than others I’ve used, shorter and wider but I actually like it. It carries well and it uses a dial on the bottom to move the product up and down. I will say, when comparing it to other sticks, a dial seems less sleek than others but it still works nicely.

This sunstick has no noticeable scent at all and I love the texture! I find it hydrating but on my oily skin, it doesn’t make me look greasy. It sort of gives a blurred effect on my skin which I absolutely love and there isn’t much makeup transfer. I used this stick four times during my travel day and only got a bit of makeup transfer on the first pass during the first re-application. It does give the tiniest of white casts on me which was the most apparent during my last application (for reference, I really worked this into my skin on each application and gave it a quick pat with my fingers when I could). I can’t speak to how this will look on more melanated skin, but I’d expect at least a small white cast.

I put this stick to the ultimate test, carrying it with me during a full travel day. I was on a train near a window for most of the time, so I wanted to make sure my skin stayed protected for the entire day. I started off with using Benton’s incredible Air Fit UV Defense as my base but needed to reapply some SPF by the time I got to the train station. I love that this sat in my shoulder bag without taking up much room and I could apply it one-handed.

This is such a fantastic option for those looking for a mineral, vegan SPF with high protection in a convenient stick format.
