When do you normally use pimple patches?

Should I use them once my acne comes to a head (the white pus is showing through) or do I use them once my acne has opened up? 

I always use them when my pimples have popped on their own after cleansing or when touching them, but is it effective more effective to use them before they pop? I’ve noticed that sometimes putting the patch on before it pops helps smaller acnes heal and go away within a day, but more pustule-like acnes end up staying inflamed and raw for a few days. If I have a more pustule-like acne, should I just leave it alone until it pops on its own?

So I just realized that you get 1000 points for a photo review! So in a way, if you win a picky giveaway and then write a review for it, you get back the 1000 points that you used to enter the giveaway with. It’s kind of like you get the product for free (as in you don’t really spend points on it) since you get your points back. I just thought that that was cool.

Picky Point Returns

These past few weeks have been extremely hectic after starting school again. I went from have so much free time to really struggling to get a single review out. I recently got a few things sent to me from picky rewards, and I’ve been really stressed about putting out the reviews for them. I had big plans of filming videos and taking lots of nice pictures to go along with the reviews, but I wasn’t able to do any of it after school started. I felt so bad for not being able to put out detailed reviews with nice pictures. Some of the reviews were even late because I felt pressured to put out a nice video to go along with it. I felt like I had to bend over backwards just to get these reviews out before midnight. However, I realized that it just isn’t possible to do what I wanted to do, and that’s ok. I’m just a picky user who is giving my honest review. No one expects me to be a full-time content creator with these detailed video reviews and high quality pictures. The reason why picky sends these products out is to get honest and real reviews from real consumers. I let all the pressure of these amazing skincare content creators get to me, making me think that I had to have content as high quality as them in order to be valued for my opinions on a product. I am just a college student who enjoys using skincare because it makes me happy, and that’s okay. My average-ness is still valuable.

Pressure within the Skincare Community

Do you ever just wish you could make more content/posts and have nice photos/videos to go with your reviews because you have a lot to say and have tried so many things, but you’re just so lazy 😭 because that’s me right now. Maybe one day I’ll get into it, but only when it’s fun for me at that time haha

Super cooling mask! I love how this just makes my skin feel icy and cool. It’s very calming, leaves my skin hydrated and less red! 

There is nothing bad about this product! I would’ve liked if it came with a skincare spoon though!

I received these products for free from Picky and NEOGEN in exchange for my honest review! This cream is fantastic for hydration and barrier repair! The cream is super thick and jelly-like, but it isn’t heavy or greasy. It goes on pretty thick but you can definitely blend it out to be thinner and lighter if you wanted to since it is a gel cream! The first thing I noticed about this product is the smell! It smells like gummy bears!!! I love the smell so much, but if you are not big on scent, it may not be for you. Also, the product is super calming and non-irritating. I love to use anything with snail mucin or cica when my skin barrier is compromised or irritated because it helps to calm and lock in moisture. This cream does a really good job at restoring my moisture while keeping a thick and elusive layer on my skin. It doesn’t stay slick and actually dries down. It’s hard to describe, but basically it’s like how putty isn’t sticky but it still has some of that feeling. I really like it because I feel like there is a layer or barrier keeping the moisture in, but it’s not wiping off on my pillowcase or getting hairs stuck in it! I haven’t noticed any *big* changes from using this product, but I think that it is a great overall moisturizer cream that does a really good job at making your skin feel good. 😊 I also love the container and the size that it comes in!

The hylauronic acid could be a little irritating for damaged or broken skin. If my skin barrier is damaged, irritated, or if I’m having a lot of breakouts, I will not use this product on that part of my skin. I’ve noticed that if I use any hylauronic acid in those times, my skin breaks out even more. But this all depends on your skin and what you’re skin can handle!

This is soooo great for deeply hydrating your skin and making it feel plumped!! I love using this all throughout the day. It is very light, but when it goes on the skin, it feels super hydrating and makes your skin feel very dewy? I don’t know how to translate but it makes your skin feel 촉촉 like hydrated and plumped. It also helps the rest of my skincare go on smoothly. Ive noticed my skin has gotten much more hydrated after using this for a week, and it has helped improve my irritated and acne-prone skin. I havent really broken out while using this!! 👌👌

I have a lot of acne with a lot of hyperpigmentation. Whenever I used this product, I would feel my skin heating up a little and becoming a little red. It never helped to calm down my redness or irritation. It might be that the formulation of the centella asiatica is too irritating on my skin. I’d like to try this product again when I don’t have so much acne. 

EDIT: After trying this again during the summer months, I can say that it is no longer irritating or drying!! The only downside now, would be that it is still probably not enough to use alone for dry skin (during the summer, you may still need hydrating toners or serums to help your skin). 

Surprisingly very hydrating for a gel moisturizer. Goes on thick and leaves a dewy finish. Smells really nice. 

EDIT: I have been using this everyday since the summer season has started, and it has been working really amazingly! I didn’t really like this product before because it would leave my skin too dry and then lead to more irritation and breakouts. However, while trying it again during the summer, when my skin is less prone to dryness and dehydration, this gel moisturizer has worked very well!! It is both moisturizing and calming! I still need a little extra moisture for my dry skin, so I usually layer this with a hydrating sunscreen, but it is awesome as a day-time moisturizer. 

YESSSS! I love these pads so much for soothing and calming my skin. They are SOO good! 🥰 I love using them as a diy face mask at night or on days when I come in feeling hot and in need of a refresh! After about 10 minutes of these on my face, my skin feels so much cooler and soothed. The pads themselves are very soft and HUGE! So they cover up a large part of my cheeks. The essence in the pad is super slick and eclusive, leaving my skin feeling hydrated and juiced up! I would recommend anyone with problem/acne and sensitized skin to use this to help with calming the skin! I have acne/sensitive and dry skin, but these pads work great for me! They help relieve any heat or excessive redness on my skin, and they don’t cause any further breakouts or irritation! They are also surprisingly more hydrating that I thought they would be! Also, I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a way to cool down in this summer heat!
