Have you heard of any ill effects on skin caused by blue light? Have you ever/would you buy a product that protects your skin from blue light (electronic screens but also from the sun)?

Its springtime and I'm thinking about which sunscreen to buy for my 3 year old who plays outside for about 30 minutes twice a day at daycare. Any recommendations? Think

How to clear tiny blackheads?

My Differin Daily Deep Cleanser is almost empty. Should I take this opportunity to try something new or stick with this benzoil peroxide wash? This will be for washing my face daily in the shower. I currently have about 4 blemishes on my face which is pretty good for me but there's still room for improvement.

Expected timeline to see benefits? Several months. 

That said, I haven't seen any noticeably changes in my skin from using this product a handful of times. Cannot yet comment on longterm effects. From a cosmetic, I generally want more immediate results. I don't expect the benefits to outway the risks (phototoxicity -- see the "Night Use Only" warning).

Transparent ingredients:

Retinal 300ppm = 0.03%
aka retinaldehyde, not to be confused with retinal 👁. Is converted by skin to retinoic acid. Pure retinal crystals are yellow to orange.

Bakuchiol 10,000ppm = 1.00%
Structurally, a monoterpene. *In vivo*, a retinol mimic. Yellow to yellowish brown neat.

Benefits to expect from both:
*Possibly* reduce visible fine lines and hyperpigmentation. *Might* help with exfoliation, leading to smoother appearance of skin. 

This is my first vitamin-A-ish product so I didn't understand, at first, why the product is neon yellow. It also has a sulfury odor. My knee-jerk reaction was flailing arms yelling "STABILITY FAILURE. HUGE STABILITY FAILURE. BHT AUTO-OXIDATION." Under this impression, the yellow packaging seemed like a disguise for a known stability problem and I questioned Wishtrend's integrity. Turns out retinol, retinal, and bakuchiol are all at least yellow, sometimes darker, from the point of manufacture.  Yellow color in a retinol cream is a great way to know if an efficacious level of the benefit ingredient was added and remains present in your product. A white cream can indicate low starting % or significant degradation of retinol. By that measure, this product has A-mazing ingredient credibility. 

Do you need both the essense and the cream? Probably not. They seem to use the same active capsules. I would pick the essence over the cream because it's designed better for penetration into the stratum corneum. It also appears to have more capsules, but that might be an illusion caused by capsules dissolving more readily in the cream than in the essence. Undamaged capsules are another point in favor of the essence because it likely means slower degradation of actives.

It's neat seeing the lavender-colored capsules suspended in the Vegan Active Berry First Essence. Because the liquid is so flowable and bubble-free, I don’t think acrylic polymers are responsible for suspension. Instead, they likely matched the density of the capsules to the density of the liquid, so there is no gravitational separation. 

 I don’t have a lot more to say on the Centella Soothing Cream -- just watch the video!!

Did I experience firming? Idk, but that wasn't really important to me. No negative effects on my skin. The only thing that might stop me from purchasing in the future is the price. It's $43 for 2.46oz. If the packaging were more exciting, I might be swayed. The straight-sided wide-mouth jar doesn't scream luxury.

Love the texture and moisturized feeling of my skin after wearing it overnight. It's super peaky and white as you can see in all the photos. Its soft and substantive. Huecalm describes it as lightweight but I could still feel it on my skin after sleeping with it on so I'd say it's midweight, between light and heavy, which is perfect for me when my skin is a little bit dry and dull. 
I didn't check the key ingredients until already using the product and falling in love with the feel but the ingredients are great too! Plant protein for instant firming, oligopeptide, Yeoju rice, ceramides, etc. Good stuff.
