Hi y'all!

I haven't posted many discussions on this app but I've been seriously struggling this past week with a major breakout localized on my chin! Its a zone where I frequently get a pimple or two especially during hormonal times in my menstrual cycle but this is way different! 

I have a group of five or six inflamed, red, and painful spots all clustered together right on the tip of my chin. 

The rest of my face has a few active breakouts but that is normal to me. I haven't changed my skin routine much lately and I have no clue whats causing this! Could it be hormonal or dietary maybe? What can I do to clear it up?

 I am using a SA cleanser at night and a gentle one in the morning followed by soothing serums and a basic moisturizer to not over irritate it.

Major chin breakout! Need help!

Hi Picky friends 👋 I have been dealing with a skin issue that I have had before but I dont know what is causing it or what to do to help it. Any thoughts or advice would be so helpful! 

As some background, I live in a very dry area that is also very cold this time of year so my skin does tend to get pretty dry. I combat this dryness by using good moisturizers, hydrating serums and toners, and even a face oil when I need it. I have resilient skin too so I do use some actives to combat my acne but I'm usually very careful to protect my skin barrier. I use a retinol at night every other day (using the sandwich method) and I use an AHA/BHA exfoliant once a week (never on the same night as retinol). 

The issue I am having is that large areas of my chin an cheeks have skin that is starting to peel off. It's not dry and flaky but the top layer of my skin has just been peeling of in patches. The skin that comes off still feels healthy and the skin underneath is soft and hydrated. This has been going on for the past 4 days or so.

What should I do? I've stopped using retinol for the time being but should I still use my AHA to exfoliate the peeling skin off? Should I use a gentle physical exfoliation to get rid of the last bit of peeling skin? What do you guys think caused this?

Peeling skin. Normal or concerning?

In May of 2021 I began to take the health of my skin more seriously than I ever have in the past. This has lead me to experiment with a lot of products to find what works best for my specific skin concerns. I have combination skin (oily and dry) that is very acne prone but not sensitive. 

The pH balanced skincare set from the Korean brand Make P:rem was really fun to try. 

The cleansing foam face wash was my favorite product out of the three. It was a nice, mildly foaming formula that made my face feel clean and refreshed without stripping my skin of its natural oils. 

The essence toner was a nice soothing step that added hydration and a glow to my complexion.

 The moisture cream is a nice thick texture but melts into a lightweight, hydrating moisturizer that left me with a glossy "glass skin" effect. 

I would recommend this set for anyone with dry, sensitive skin who is looking for a simple but effective skincare routine.

It was not as hydrating and nourishing as I would have liked and I feel like I have to use a lot to cover a small area.

Helped reduce the frequency of breakouts on my shoulders and upper arms. Very creamy texture and no strong smell.

The packaging is awful. In my picture, you can see that I have had to really squeeze the bottle like crazy to get it all out. It could be designed way better especially because the cream is so thick. This lotion is also not quite hydrating enough for my dry skin and I usually add a body oil or more hydrating lotion on top of it after showers to keep my skin from drying out.

As you can see from my photo, I'm just about finished with my first full bottle of this product. So far, I do really like it. I have dry skin (especially on my upper arms), strawberry skin, hyperpigmentation, and chest and back acne. I have noticed a big difference in the smoothness of my skin and I have been having less body acne. I like that this product has AHA but I might add something like a BHA body wash to my routine to help more with my strawberry skin. 

Sometimes I find it to be too light at night and I will wake up feeling a bit dry.

My absolute favorite basic Moisturizer. Very affordable and never makes me break out. Good texture and zero fragrance. It locks in moisture all day.

The pot packaging is not my favorite and I would prefer it in a tube.

I love this product. I have breathing issues and usualy breathe through my mouth when sleeping which can cause severe lip dryness. This lip mask stays on all night and I wake up with soft, moisturized lips. By far the best nighttime lip mask I&#39;ve ever used.

Definitely stings my eyes if any gets in them.

I really like this cleanser because it clears my acne and leaves me feeling clean and refreshed without being too stripping. It has a gel texture and foams up but only slightly which I tend to like.
