This isn't a staple in my routine. It's a nice-to-have product that I would only use every now and again and for that reason I probably wouldn't buy it again 

☆ Hero ingredients: ☆
- entire centella asiatica (cica) plant
- tea tree, houttuynia cordata, heartleaf, calamine
- kaolin and bentonite - absorb excess oils and impurities

This is a smooth and moisturising, mineral-rich clay mask, packed with naturally sourced and soothing ingredients. Key ingredients work to free trapped dirt and sebum from pores, whilst nourishing and fortifying the skin barrier. It's a treat to apply and is easily washed off with water, and feels non-drying or tightening like some traditional clay masks. It's a spa-quality mask that can be enjoyed at home and my skin feels refreshed and texture free after just 1 use

🚫 The serum is thick and almost clumpy - kinda like pulverised pineapple. And it's wildly different from their other serums which are thin and milky. It also has a fairly unpleasant smell, very chemically and artificial (this does fade once it's sunk into the skin)

🚫 The serum feels gloopy and greasy when applied to the face - but it does fully sink into the skin eventually. The serum makes me oilier much quicker than with other serums (for reference I have combo skin with an oily T-zone.) The serum isn't one I wouldn't wear on hot day or if I'm going out and planning to look nice. I personally think it would be much nicer on normal-dry skin types

🚫 This serum is much more expensive than other Glow recipe serums (£46 RRP whereas the others are around £30-£35)

💫 PS. It looks like they're no longer making this product?! If anyone knows if this is true please leave a comment below! I bought mine from a popular online beauty retailer (UK) about a month ago, but it's no longer showing on the Glow recipe website. I wonder has this been replaced with the guava serum? 

🍍 The Pineapple C serum contains 3 potent forms of antioxidant-rich vitamin C to brighten the skin, along with natural AHAs and enzymes to exfoliate and improve skin texture and tone

🍍 The packaging is A+ as all Glow recipe products are. It is a thick glass bottle with texture to resemble a pineapple's skin. It comes with a pipette dispenser which is different from their other serums which have pump applicators

🍍 The serum looks nice on the skin once it's dried down. It provides an instant dewy glow and I have experienced some skin brightening benefits from consistent use. It looks glowy and radiant and is a nice serum to use on no makeup days

Sadly the rich cream texture makes it a little too heavy for my combo-oily skin. However I think it would be ideal for normal and dry skin types that are needing a moisturising boost during the colder autumn weather. So don't be put off! If you have normal or dryer skin I think you could really enjoy this

- lavishly smooth and intensely nourishing cream
- retains moisture within the skin for up to 48 hours
- works to plump the skin, visibly reducing fine lines and wrinkles
- skin-loving ingredients strengthen the skin barrier whilst brightening skin tone

3⭐️ - a really high quality cream that would be great for normal and dry skin types - just doesn't work for me

Nothing bad about the product - I just have a lot of serums to compare it with and it's not one of my absolute favourites. The dewy healthy glow it initially gives to the skin doesn't last throughout the day unlike some of my favourite serums

- fast-absorbing consistency
- non-irritating
- sinks into the skin without sticky or greasy residue
- layers wonderfully with other products
- gives my skin an instant dewy glow
- potent idebenone and blackberry complex effectively decelerates premature skin aging
- brightens and evens out skin tone
- protects against free-radical damage

4⭐️ - a nice product that ticks every box of what I'm looking for in a serum - not a holy grail but it's definitely in my rotation

🚫 The serum is 'expensive' - obviously this is relative, but all Glow Recipe products tend to be on the pricer side 

🚫 It has a mildly unpleasant chemical smell, but this does fade once dry

🍓 I have to be honest, it took me a while to understand and appreciate this product. But now I do, I'm literally obsessed with it and it is a staple in my skincare routine! 

✅️ The strawberry smooth salicylic serum contains 10% AHA and BHA complex (which is a blend of 2% salicylic acid and mandelic acid, plus strawberry, azelaic acid and succinic acid) - for potent skin clarifying, pore refining and clearing breakouts 

✅️ It also contains balanced hydrating and soothing ingredients including hyaluronic acid and allantoin - for skin protection, moisture and calming 

✅️ The serum sinks into the skin. It has a non-sticky/greasy residue, and feels like nothing on the skin. Because of this it can even be worn under makeup. And it doesn't disrupt/interact with other products in my routine 

✅️ The unique key feature with this serum (which I only fully appreciated after experimenting with other AHA/BHA serums) is that it perfectly balances EFFECTIVE with GENTLE exfoliation. The serum keeps my skin blemish free and decongested. AND it is gentle enough for daily use from day 1, whereas other AHA/BHA serums I've tried take building up (starting with 1-2 x per week, increasing in frequency over the course of a few weeks until you can tolerate daily use). From day 1 this serum didn't make my skin burn or itch and didn't cause me any redness
