Azelaic Acid is my favourite ingredient to address stubborn post-acne marks which take time to fade away. I am prescribed with azelaic acid cream (20%) daily & I’ve studied about it that I get so confident to use it day & night. However, using it is quite an effort since azelaic acid is a powder so it's grainy on the skin when used with other products. And the 15% azelaic gel PILLS! Potassium azeloyl diglycinate (or azeloglycine), a new water-soluble derivative of azelaic acid, is a combination of azelaic acid, glycerine, & potassium hydroxide. It has many same benefits of pure azelaic acid like brightening & as an antioxidant. Thanks to the presence of glycerine, it possesses a moisturizing effect on the skin. In recent studies, azeloglycine was used to examine the treatment of symptoms of rosacea & melasma. All 4 studies concluded that no local reaction were reported & the anti-inflammatory & moisturizing effects of azeleoglycine makes it a good multi-functional ingredient to help skin issues paired with other ingredients.
