First off, can we just appreciate how well this travels? You don’t need to worry about oil accidentally leaking out in your bag and don’t need to pack a large tub. Admittedly, it can be a little difficult to squeeze at first. The texture on this is unreal, it melts like a dream and I find that it does an excellent job at breaking down my SPF and light makeup. It may need a little extra help when it comes to a full face of heavy makeup and waterproof mascara but for my general night time routine, this balm is really lovely, especially in the winter. After applying this to dry skin, it doesn’t irritate it at all – even in my eye area when I try to break down mascara. After applying water, I don’t find that I experience any cloudy vision but it does understandably make my eyes a little sore (anyone else terrible for opening their eyes while cleansing? Just me?) but once I pat my face dry, it subsides. The cleanser itself turns milky upon contact with water and I love that it doesn’t feel stripping on my skin. This balm is free of silicone and mineral oil but it does have a blend of essential oils including chamomile and bergamot. The fragrance is mild and dissipates very quickly, so I do feel comfortable recommending a cleanser like this to anyone who prefers fragrance-free products but can tolerate essential oil. This is so soothing as a first cleanse and pairs really well with the Cream Cleansing Foam. On my low maintenance days (the days where I haven’t used much makeup), I find myself reaching for this balm and it has been a welcome addition to my PM routine during this dry winter season. *Gifted, thank you @neopharm_official @realbarrier_global 💙
