AudreyNelson review for Wrinkle Warrior 2-in-1 Plumping Moisturizer + Serum

I'm a huge fan of Kate Somerville and while I absolutely adore the Wrinkle Warrior line, it's not perfect - hence the less than perfect rating. Pretty metallic hot pink packaging my 19yo self would have enjoyed a lot more - the coloring feels a little juvenile given the price tag (USD105) - belongs more in a prom setting than the vanity of this old lady. Pump bottle dispensed enough product for the whole face with just one press. The texture is really smooth and silicone-y, dimethicone is the first on this extensive ingredient-list giving that "smoothed out", plump look by filling up fine lines and wrinkles. There's some hydrolyzed vegetable protein, glycerin, trehalose, betaine, HA, polyglutamic acid, adenosine and fruit extracts in this formula. Plus lots and lots of fragrance. And more silicones. Plumping is guaranteed. Works much like most dimethicone-based makeup primers. The polymers, glycerin, HA and silicones fill up the gaps also known as wrinkles. I've been using it for years. Non-gifted, non-sponsored, spending my hard-earned money. Does it work?? Yeah, sure. As a temporary solution. Is there a long-term benefit here? Honestly, I'm not so sure. All in all, it looks beautiful under makeup, doesn't pill, doesn't act up and makes my face look good for someone my age.
