Facial mists are getting more popular nowadays. I’m curious on how you use it in your routine. In between steps? In the toner step? Or as you feel like throughout the day? 🤔

How do you use facial mists?

I really like The Ordinary’s niacinamide serum. I feel like it helps with inflammation and sebum control. 
I ran out and now I’m on the lookout to try another niacinamide serum to help with my PIH and sebum. 
What do you recommend? 😄

If you have oily skin like me, you don’t need a moisturiser. But I find my face is a bit too dewy if I do a longer AM routine or when it’s a hot day 🥵. But if I stay mostly indoors (most working days), and keep to a shorter routine, the finish stays nice! 

I felt that there is a minty/cooling sensation when I first put this on, which I wasn’t expecting. But when I reapply, there is no more minty feeling. My skin got used to this after a while. I let my sister try this and she didn’t experience it at all.

This is a good sunscreen! 😍 Easy to apply, no whitecast, doesn’t feel too heavy and leaves a nice natural/slightly dewy finish which I love. 

The texture is like a dense lotion and there’s an emollient feeling. It’s quite hydrating despite containing alcohol.  There isn’t much of a scent. It spreads nicely on my skin and takes about 5 minutes to settle down to a natural finish. 

There is a minty/cooling sensation when applied.

I would buy this again because its very affordable and good for the price!

A cleansing balm that features rice bran oil, sea buckthorn oil, rice extract and oatmeal extract.

This balm has more of a waxy texture. When it melts down in my palm, it’s creamier and thicker consistency than I expected. Cleansing power is good but still gentle and non stripping. Emulsifies cleanly and doesn’t leave a residue. 

I love the packaging on this. Makes it more convenient to use in the bathroom! I don’t want to screw lids in the shower. It’s also unscented and doesn’t smell like anything. 

Can be a bit tacky. Using it twice daily caused some dryness.

This line from SKIN1004 aims to brighten and even out your skin tone. This ampoule containd centella extract, niacinamide, and 2% tranexamic acid. Which I don’t see often! 

Firstly, the bottle is huge (100ml) and the product is so pretty! First time using something with capsules inside (capsules contain MadeWhite™/madecassoside)

〰 Fragrance free but has some pleasant light herbal/ginseng scent. I think it’s the centella.

〰 Quite viscous. Fairly hydrating, and leaves nice dewy finish. Can be a bit tacky, not an issue since moisturiser or sunscreen is always my last step. 

〰The capsules are harder to pop than expected. So I prefer to blend it on my palm first before applying on my face.

〰 After testing this out for 2 weeks, I can say that it does help to give an overall brightening effect to my face. But I think that using it twice daily is a bit too much, and I felt some irritation/dryness. I reduced it to once a day and it’s much better. 

⚡️I have no issues finishing this! A very unique product with brightening effects. Totally worth a try! But maybe don’t use it twice daily 😅

Its a watery type toner. And you need to layer it. Might not be hydrating enough for dry skin types.

💙 Toner
5D hyaluronic acid complex, panthenol, allantoin

A watery toner that’s light and layer-able without any tackiness. I like to layer it 3-4 times to really plump up my skin. I think oily skin types like me will especially enjoy it. Great for toner masking too! 

Nothing bad. It fulfils it’s claim as a hydrating product.

Torriden’s dive-in line which focuses on hydration 💦💦. It’s are fragrance free and a beautiful blue colour from the malachite extract.

💙 Serum
Glycerin, panthenol, hyaluronic acid. 

I’m a skeptic when it comes to hydrating serums. I just haven’t tried anything that’s like wow. 

But I now get the hype around this serum. The texture is the winner here. It’s viscous and almost gel-like but absorbs easily. My skin feels fresh & hydrating without any stickiness.

Love that it comes in a generous 50 & 100ml.
