I have tried so many sunscreens and I do like that they don’t irritate my skin but they always look dewy and I want to know if there are sunscreens that would actually look matte on my skin.

Hi! I suffer with so much PIE and tried Cerave Retinol but somehow made my skin worse because it damaged my skin barrier. So, I tried vitamin c serum and glycolic acid in hopes to heal my PIE, but again my barrier got irritated and my face gets red.

Idk what to do anymore, how do I fix this. It seems like products for PIE are not good for a damaged skin barrier.

Which should I address first. What ingredients should I look for?

It takes time to see results but it did make my skin feel moisturized and smoother. 


I really love the white metal packaging as well as the push pump type of dropper. Indeed, this has a thick consistency yet absorbs really fast on my skin. It also surprisingly did not leave any sticky residue afterwards. This was actually my first time trying bakuchiol and since my skin is already used to retinol, I decided to use this daily. At first, I was sort of scared because it contained some herb extracts but it was gentle on my skin and I felt no irritation. 

This shampoo has a light yellow liquid and once I incorporate it on my scalp, it produces a little foam and feels soft on my scalp. It also has a pleasant aroma.

Since is does contain beer, it gives a minty fresh scent that smells refreshing. It also has a cooling effect which I enjoy since it feels calming. 

After washing, my hair feels fresh and clean The only con is that since it is targeted for the scalp, my hair felt a little bit dry afterwards. But I can work on it, I just need to make sure I used a rich conditioner. I recommend this people suffering from oily scalp and build-up.

This wash-off mask contains natural honey to provide moisture and nourishment to the skin to keep it supple, elastic, and soothed. This also helps exfoliate skin and clear out whiteheads to keep the skin clear.

- Easy to apply and spread
- Feels calming and soothing to the skin
- Provides a cool and fresh feeling
- Not drying at all

This was also one of the mask I was most curious to try so I was really excited to finally use it. First, I noticed that I had to mix the mask using the spatula since the ingredients sort of separated in the jar. Now, when I applied it to my face it was really smooth but it did have a sweet honey smell which I disliked. Unlike the mugwort mask, I could leave this on my face longer (around 30 mins to an hour). This is super hydrating on my skin but I really had a hard time washing it off because it felt oily as if there was a film laying on my skin so definitely not the best time to use during summer. However, I love how soft and hydrated my skin felt afterwards so I think this is much more suitable for dry skin and people living in a colder climate. 

The only con would be is that it’s quite pricey. 

This toner is contains 77.78% Rice Extract that’s beneficial in elasticity care. It forms a protective barrier over the skin to prevent any skin water loss, eliminate dead skin cells, and provide moisture to help dry and tired skin. The texture of this toner is very milky and watery and you need to shake the product to make sure the emulsion and water layer would be mixed together. I like to use this by layering it to my face for extra moisture. It does not feel sticky and absorbs really well on my skin leaving it feeling soft and moisturized. 

However, I find it a bit too dewy for my liking. I tend to blot the shine away once it dries and add powder.

This is a chemical sunscreen with a light lotion consistency. It blends into the skin easily and seamlessly. I have already tried this before and I really do love the mild and non-irritating formula it has as well as the fact that it does not leave a white cast.
