I saw some misconception everywhere when it comes to active ingredients concentrations. and it just happened infront of me, i felt kinda intrigued to know whats on their mind haha. I can tell they can notice my face expressions.

⛄️ Concentration : 
Active ingredients can be quite tricky especially for beginner. So do not assume highest percentage is the most effective one. It does not equate to a more effective products. There are few reasons why opting highest percentage of an active ingredients is not the best way to include in our skincare regime, and to decide whether it is effective or not. 

This problematic issue began to cause some confusion. More is not always more. 

My skin can tolerate well with high percentage of niacinamide but I chose not to use it. It is better way off, because I might not expect any further consequences. I started to find my sweet hit spot of the percentage which is 2%. That is better.

If you want to use high percentage, please try and follow the advice of experts. Thats definitely the way to go. The consequences is real. We are playing with actives and skin issue, not a kindergarten toys.

☃️ Layering :
I guess Im not alone in wanting to use all of my miracle products at once. We often have that kind of mentality, more is better. but not everything is more is more. If you use too many actives at once, it have the potential to counteract each other and irritate your skins. Or maybe causing clogged pores or breaking out. 



ps : When it comes to active ingredients, we use less-is-more approach. Never overdoing it. 

I know we all have personal preference but if your skin tolerate well with "more percentage" and "layering more products", never encourage everyone to do so, you might cause some confusion for beginner. We cannot expect what works for us might work on others too.

Active ingredients misconceptions

Hi guys, im so sorry for being so inactive for these few months (but still reading discussion everday). I feel like I wanna talk about this, since picky growing up with mass of new people. Welcome 🤍 I hope we can engage (genuine) and have a good vibes here. 

I know we have our own skincare philosophy. So when someone posting about something and some of their comments against your "philosophy", dont be mad. It is not that hard to say: 

 "sorry, but in my opinion..."

We all can discuss and learn something new. Thats why we are here. Also, we have some experts, and someone with different backgrounds.

Yes, there are few brands and ingredients that can be so controversial to discuss. Two heads are better than one 🥺 There is a difference between expressing your opinion and being rude.

Have you guys ever feel like every skincare products only stay on top of your skin? Like ..

- even toner cannot penetrate deeper into your skin
- sometimes using less products cannot fix it. 
- avoid emollients did nothing 

This is one of my struggle, not always, maybe due to environmental factors. But I do have skincare tricks that can overcome this issue. 

1. Exfoliate is the key 
2. Switching my cream/lotion moisturiser to a gel-based moisturiser (Oil free)
3. Taking about 2-5 minutes before layering another products (sometimes it works)

 I wanna hear your thoughts or maybe another skin tips that I can consider to try it out 🤍✨

Skin not absorbing any skincare

Leaving this as remark of my progress here, since i learned a lot from picky users; especially about layering products, skincare technique. Thankyou so much for your knowledge.

I love the engagement in here and also some of yall following me on instagram and showing some supports. 

I have been struggling with hormonal acne for 5 years, and 2020 where my skin has worsened; major breakout, and PIE. I had to make sure my face wont touch the pillowcase, bleed! Then i found my new HG products. 

Ive stick to my routine almost quite a year+. Now im free from acne (not during pms) except post-inflammatory erythema. Totally a game changer.

Skin progress

The texture a lil bit soapy and thick. but if you put an adequate amount (2-3 drops) before patting on your skin, it is still acceptable.

Ive been using another Alpha Arbutin serum so i did not know how this serum really help my blemishes and hyperpigmentation. But all i could say, these two dream ingredients, Vitamin B3 and Zinc, does control my production of sebum and also mattify my skin. Love it ! My skin usually feels extra greasy but this products make my skin perfect to be layered with other products

For oily skin, I think it is a bit too dewy but it didnt get greasier afterwards. Putting on loose powder and youre done. 

The only thing Ive been wondering, I couldnt tell am I getting enough protection for my skin or not. So I tend to reapply alot and I looked like casper 👻

Not for my skin tone and Im not a fan of dewy finish because I have oily skin (also humid climates). but if my skin change to dry skin again, I might consider this and give it 4 stars. but still casper.

Texture&#47;scent :
Creamy but not too creamy. it smells like typical talc powder, i would say smells like granny but it smells good 😂 not too overwhelming.

My experience :
I used this to reapply my sunscreen. I noticed it has brightening effect which is not suitable for my tan skin. but it looks nice and natural on fairer skin tone. Thats the only cons. Other than that, it feels quite hydrating and moisturizing which is good for dry and dehydrated skin.

nothing bad about this serum. I was so afraid at first when I saw yellowish color because it reminds me of oil. but luckily, everything was good

☘️ 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒏 𝑨𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒆
Key ingredients :
Hericium Erinaceum (mushroom) extracts, Centella Asiatica extract, Sodium hyaluronate, Beta-glucan, Tremella Fuciformis extract, Schizophyllan, Panthenol, etc.

Texture&#47;scent :
It has honey-like not-too-viscous consistency and yellowish in color. The smells is undesirable which almost scentless. I takes time for me to detect the scent.

My experience :
I use this for both my AM and PM routine, because it is convenient to layer with other products which no tackiness and greasiness. It was so traumatized to see any serum in yellow, because it reminds me of oil. Im always having a bad relationship with serum from AC line. But this really works wonder on me. 

My skin feels so supple and almost gives me an instant hydration. The dry patches around my cheeks started to go away. It really helps to calm my new acne, also helps them to recover.

As for anti-aging, I need more time to see any significant improvement.

Ive been struggling with my skin type changes lately, from oily skin to dry skin. My skin tend to have no oil production at all, tight, flaky, and itchy. I decided to split my skincare routine into : oily skincare routine and dry skincare routine. Good thing came across and this product helped so much ! It works wonder on my skin. I love the fact that this ampoule is enriched with probiotics. 

Function lactobacillus in skincare:
☘️ Calm and comfort skin to instantly relieve the dry, tight and bothered sensations that come with irritation.

Some of the main ingredients :
• Low molecular hydrogen (hydrolyzed collagen)
• 6 amino acids : Lysine, Aspartic acid, Glutamic Acid, Methionine, Arginine, Cysteine.
• Hyaluronic acid 

My review after using this ampoule for few weeks:
• The texture is kinda milky (lightweight) but easily absorbed. 
• Scent : smells like antibiotic suspension 😂 weird but I love the scent.
• For my dry skin, I would say it delivers enough fresh hydration. It feels like I dont need moisturizer afterward.
• No more angry skin; immediate relief from the feeling of dry, tightness.
• It rebalances and soothes my skin : reduction in redness (PIE) and tighten pores

Direction of use:
Use it after cleansing steps or toner step. Make sure do not directly touch the dropper to your face. You might introduce the bacteria into the ampoule.

Skin types: 
All skin type.

It contains denatured alcohol.

If you want to be cautious of alcohol denat to begin with, but because it does increase the penetration of other ingredients, be especially wary of products where it&#39;s combined with other potential irritants, such as fragrance.

This is one of my 2020 empties skincare. All i could say this just my cup of tea that helps me fighting with my acne and over production of sebum. It contains 2% of Lactic Acid - types of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), which in short chemical exfoliant. Plus, it has bigger molecule than glycolic acid - that it’s not as strong on the skin, making it a better option for sensitive because it only targetting the top layer of the skin.

This toner doesnt leave any stickiness or feeling tight. also, absorb superb fast as soon as you pat it on your face.
