It depends on the product itself instead purely just the percentage because each products has different formulas that allows different penetration. Easiest example is Paula Choice they have a variety of 2% BHA. but one is more penetrative that the other.
Currently I have Benton Aloe BHA 0.5% salicylic acid and I love using them everyday but somehow if I skipped a day out of sheer laziness.
