A long, long time ago, nose strips were the craze. You could find them everywhere and everyone was showing how effective nose strips were in removing blackheads. You have a date coming up and there are those blackheads partying on your nose? Easy! You just simply reach for your life saver, remove it from its packet and apply the strip to your nose. However, this very strong adhesive patches have been found to do more harm than good as they not only pull out dirt, hair and oil but your skin. Yes, that's right, you will only end up damaging your skin tissues and make the pores that have been forcibly extracted sebum wider, resulting in larger pores and more blackheads. Today, there are better options to remove blackheads and treat and care for your nose pores. Introducing.....Nose masks! These nose masks are formulated and created by a Korean brand known as Mary&May. The nose masks do not use strong adhesives to remove blackheads rather they use mild natural ingredients that gently melts blackheads and release them out of the pores without skin damage. This is also my first time trying out a product like this so I'm so excited! I heard that they're more effective and better than nose strips. Before I get into my review, I want to talk about this brand known as Mary&May. Mary&May is an honest, clean beauty skincare brand that contains only safe and clean ingredients. They offer sincerity by transparently disclosing accurate, effective ingredient information contained abundantly inside each product to ensure effectiveness and outstanding results. Lastly, their products are free off 16 harmful ingredients, vegan certified, animal cruelty free and eco friendly as their packages use recyclable paper and soybean oil ink. Mary&May is your guide to clean beauty and their motto is: Believe in truth. I'm so in love with this brand and their products that I have their toner, serums,facial wash and sheet masks! Didn't even know that this brand existed😂 ☘️About Mary&May Step 1 Safe Blackhead Clear Mask: The Daily Safe Blackhead Clear Nose Pack selects only non-irritating EWG green-grade ingredients such as Witch Hazel and White Willow Bark Extract to gently dissolve dead skin cells and blackheads, encouraging the build-up out of the pores. After dissolving the debris, Centella Asiatica, Houttuynia Cordata, and Tea Tree Extracts works to soothe pores and a blend of Peptides and Adenosine generously tightens pores to give elasticity. This nose mask is actually paired with another mask known as Step 2 Soothing Pore Tightening Mask. The duo comes in a box containing Step 1 Safe Blackhead Clear Masks X 10 and Step 2 Soothing Pore Tightening Masks X 10 and comes along with a packet of charcoal bamboo cotton swabs (How cool is that!). The Step 1 Safe Blackhead Clear Mask is infused with mild natural ingredients that contains no harmful ingredients, gently melts the blackheads and releases them out of the pores without damage done to the skin. I absolutely love how Mary&May came up with an awesome product to deal with blackheads! This product will definitely be on the top of my 'To buy' list! ☘️Key Ingredients: Witch Hazel Extract 30, 000 ppm👉Protects and soothes the skin and it has antibacterial, astringent and soothing effects. Also relieves skin problems and melts sebum and dead skin cells with natural alcohol to help clean pores and oily skin. Salvia Leaf Extract👉Salvia, also called sage, contains vitamin C to help soothe and purify damaged skin and improve skin texture to create a healthy skin layer. White Willow Bark Extract👉Contains BHA called salicin, which removes dead cells and manages dead skin cells to make the skin soft, and promotes skin regeneration. Niacinamide👉Niacinamide, an excellernt brightening ingredient and a whitening ingredient blocks the melanin movement path and helps to keep the skin clear and bright, and it controls the sebum to make the skin clean by taking care of excess sebum and blackheads. ☘️Texture: It has a cotton cloth feel to it and it doesn't irritate my skin. It sticks well on the skin too thanks to the liquid this nose mask is drenched in. Initially, I thought it would slip off my skin or something like that but no. In fact, it adhered to my skin just as good as a nose strip would. ☘️Packaging: I'll start with its unit carton which has a nice feel to it. The Step 1 Safe Blackhead Clear Mask is originally packed in a box made with recyclable cupboard and printed with soy ink. I absolutely love how this brand is committed to being eco friendly by packaging all their products in recyclable cupboard units. The box has that 'Nature' outlook which fits the brand's theme of being an eco friendly product. Printed on the top left of the box is the brand's name in white bold letters and its motto in small print beneath it. There's the word: Vegan, underneath the brand's motto and details of the products' names written on it. Information in Korean and English are found at the back and the sides of the box. There's a holographic seal and the brand's motto and name printed in simple typography on the top of the box. Moving on to the primary packaging, the nose mask is packed in a matte silver packet with the brand's and product's name printed on the front. There's an illustration of a blackhead being lifted from the skin and I especially like how the packets were numbered with clear illustrations printed on to help the user understand the products better. Information found on the back in Korean and English. The packaging is also very travel size friendly and it makes such a useful companion for trips and vacations! ☘️Scent: Slightly fragrant scented. ☘️How To Use: On cleansed face, place Step 1 Mask Sheet on nose for 10-15 minutes to gently dissolve the accumulated sebum inside the pores. Remove Step 1 Mask Sheet and wipe the softened sebum from inwards with the provided cotton swab. Place Step 2 Mask Sheet on for 10 minutes to gently shrink and calm pores. ☘️Who is Step 1 Safe Blackhead Clear Mask for? Ideal for people with stubborn blackheads and whiteheads. (¯`·._.·Personal Experiences·._.·´¯) Boy, was I so amazed by my first experience of using the Step 1 Safe Blackhead Clear Mask! I hadn't expect it to be almost or better than those nose strips as I always believed that strong adhesives patches are the best in removing blackheads. After I cleansed and toned my skin, I applied the nose mask to my nose and waited for 15 mins before removing it. There was a slight tingling feeling in the beginning but it soon went off and after I removed it, I chrcied my skin for any signs of irritation before proceeding to the next step. (There were no signs of irritations yet.) Afterwards, I used the cotton swab and was supposed to swipe from bottom to up but I forgot the instructions and ended up doing the opposite 😂 I took a look at the cotton swab and saw some dead skin cells and it made me feel satisfied to see the gunk there😂 All in all, the Step 1 Safe Blackhead Clear Mask was such a good product as it literally helped to remove blackheads as claimed. The ingredients inside this nose mask made it possible to get a clear and perfect skin and the idea of nose masks are absolutely a great idea to deal with blackheads! Better than nose strips I should say. I also liked the packagings and I think Daily Safe Blackhead Clear Nose Pack makes the perfect gift for friends and family. Ratings of 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars!
