I’ll guess a lot of us been there...
For me it was huge mental stress, wearing a mask every day for 10h+ and not adapting my skincare routine... last summer my skin completely freaked out, my barrier broke, my skin hurt, every product (just water and SPF till it healed) stung, my face was covered in breakouts... 

After using a minimal routine for a while I slowly started to introduce some products to help heal my barrier. 

If you experienced the same, what got your skin back on track?

I’m always on the hunt for barrier strengthening products as my skin is still weak.. no more AHAs/BHAs for me 🙁

I’m still on the search for the perfect sunscreen..

My skin is DRY AF, DEHYDRATED, ACNE PRONE due to the dryness (weak barrier)

Every single spf further dries my skin out (physical) or gives me breakouts (chemical)

I’m only looking for crazy occlusive PHYSICAL SPFs - the ones that make you look oily but without clogging the pores 
No drying alcohols, fragrance or EOs 

The closest I came is the Pipette

SPF recommendation for crazy dry skin

Nothing bad to say! Even the price is bomb 😍

🧡 watery texture, almost zero body and slip, just a hint of moisture. Absorbs quickly (my skin drinks it up) and layers beautifully. I personally use it more like a toner (-essence hybrid). Subtle ginseng scent that fades quickly. 

🧡 why I love it: the key ingredients sold me on this product and I had to try it! Ginseng is supposed to plump fine lines by boosting the circulation of the skins smallest blood vessels, in turn ramping up the collagen synthesis 🥰 It might just have been the incredible hydration this toner gives me but my forehead lines indeed are much less noticeable. 
Nevertheless the antioxidants power of ginseng will hopefully help to slow down the process... 
The antioxidants also inhibit melanin production and indeed I think my acne left less noticeable scars. All over my acne got less what might be due to the anti inflammatory properties of ginseng (but I also stepped back from most of my actives like retinol and aha what calmed my skin) 
I’ve been using the essence for 4 weeks and I’m surprised how noticeable the changes already are.

✨The brightening effect is very subtle (if there is one) and I prefer to rely on ascorbic acid and other strong brightening agents for my severe acne scars

✨It has a buttery texture that spreads like a dream and melts into the skin without feeling greasy or heavy. The velvety finish gives a subtle radiance rather than a shiny glow. Plays well with other products and never caused pilling for me.
✨What I enjoy the most about this moisturizer is that it not only leaves a protective layer on the skin but improves the skin barrier health over time. Ceramides and fatty acids (shea butter) strengthen the skin barrier over time, soothing ingredients like panthenol and bisabolol calm irritated skin, olivem 1000 and HAs draw water in the skin, anti bacterial phytosphingosine prevent acne. A well rounded ingredient list for dehydrated, irritated and acne prone skin! 
✨My personal experience: I’ve struggled a lot with TEWL,  a weak barrier and painfully dry skin for years. From the first use I experienced relief and my skin improved a lot over time. I reapplied the moisturizer before every sunscreen reapplication for the first few weeks and now (on my second jar) my skin finally feels balanced throughout the day with one application in the morning.

A lightweight cleansing oil that emulsifies easily &amp; quick and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. Perfect to remove sunscreen and to clean out pores. It gives that perfect, gentle slip that makes it so enjoyable to massage even sensitive skin for a few minutes. For heavy makeup I personally prefer a balm, something that gives me a little time to emulsify waterproof mascara and lipstick...

I almost finished my first bottle but already got me a backup 🙌🏼
Antibacterial, anti fungal, anti viral, anti inflammatory, healing, soothing, hydrating, moisturizing... honey, propolis and royal jelly are just made for acne prone skin! I didn’t see immediate results but my acne got less over time, my skin healthier and my hydration levels improved. A slow worker that gives you that lovely glow. My skin feels plump and hydrated when I use it and irritation calms down fast. A must for my acne prone, sensitive and dry skin 🥰
The consistency is more serum like, it has quite some body to it. But once applied it sinks in beautifully and layers just perfectly.

Double fermented Artemisia Annua Extract. 

Herbal, earthy, mugwort scent. 
Classic first essence texture - watery, almost weightless but with a lovely slip, absorbs quickly &amp; layers well. 

Why I love it ❤️ it almost instantly reduces redness &amp; irritation &amp; never stings no matter how angry my sensitive skin is. As my acne is ether hormonal or caused by irritation (dry skin and a weak barrier 🙄) this essence did wonders for me. Love it before exfoliants or retinol &amp; closer to my period to prevent those nasty pimples (healthy skin - less pimples)
