Fig Cleansing Balm - i’m from

I am a •little• obsessed with cleansing balms. I have my favorites, for sure, but I am always trying new ones because I love the experience of the first scoop, the texture, the application…the scents! All of it pulls me in and never wants to let me go! It is almost a meditative process for me.

When I heard about the Fig Cleansing Balm from I’m From, I knew that this was one for my list. I am enamored with K-Beauty brands, and fig was an intriguing ingredient. This balm is gentle and claims to aid blackhead treatment. Sign me up!

Everything about this product is lovely. The size of the packaging is more than generous. The jar is a gorgeous purple color and fits the fig theme perfectly. The product itself is a pastel baby pink and it has the yummiest scent! Texturally, this is one of my favorite cleansing balms, and I relish the soft melt sensation during application. In contrast to so many other balms, this product does not give eyes that awful blurry film when rinsing! 

This one is a must try!

I am so grateful that ATOPALM and Picky sent this cream to me. My dry skin has been drinking it up. Although, I do wish that the cream absorbed faster, I have found this to be one of the best creams for skin conditioning/repair for my skin type/texture.

•Description•
MLE [Multi Lamellar Emulsion] cream is an extremely thick and moisturizing cream designed to protect and nourish the delicate skin barrier. The patented technology is suitable for all skin types, but is likely best for those with dry/dehydrated skin. It does have a pleasant, noticeable botanical scent. The cream contains several oils [jojoba, sunflower, green tea seed, safflower, and grape] and I believe it is some combination of the oils that are giving the cream this unique and beautiful fragrance. 

•Experience + Verdict•
I apply this cream in the evenings, as it feels it might be too heavy for daytime use for my skin. Even though the cream is very thick, it melts into my skin nicely and doesn’t sit on top feeling greasy or uncomfortable. My skin feels hydrated and nourished after use and the next morning I notice my complexion looks more even and balanced, as well.

I generally prefer to see more immediate pore tightening with my toners, which i did not see with this particular one. I still think it is a great toner for balancing and hydration though!

Toner
•Experience•
After cleansing, I apply toner to a cotton pad and smooth over my face. This toner is a thin, watery consistency with a very soft light blue color (natural malachite extract). It feels very hydrating and refreshing on the skin. It does not feel tight or drying at all and I felt no irritation. I noticed no fragrance or scent at all. Overall, it was very mild, and my skin felt very moisturized. I think this is a great toner to use to help balance the skin, especially if you find that some cleansers are effective but a bit too drying.
 
•Verdict•
I can see why this line is so popular and highly regarded. There is something special about these products. Hyaluronic Acid is a big component in skincare and although it is always an amazing ingredient, Torriden has proven that the bar certainly can be raised--ingredients/quality/effectiveness-- they absolutely matter. Skincare is not one size fits all.

Serum
•Experience•
After toner, I dispense a small amount of serum to my hands and then apply to my face. The serum has a moderate viscosity but is not sticky during application or the dry down. It sets extremely quickly compared to most serums and is suitable for layering/double seruming. I can immediately feel that my skin feels plumper. This is absolutely one of the most hydrating serums that I have found.
 
•Verdict•
I can see why this line is so popular and highly regarded. There is something special about these products. Serum 5/5⭐️

The ampoule is unusually sticky after applying for a minute or two, and was a little unexpected texturally. I had to make sure not to rush and to let it dry down adequately before moving to my next steps.

Finally, I personally did not notice any skin brightening effects over the last few weeks of use. Perhaps the brightening effect is only apparent after long-term use, but I personally saw better results from the regular Centella line from SKIN1004 that contained more of the active ingredient.

I was selected to review the ✨ Madagascar Centella Tone Brightening Boosting Toner + Capsule Ampoule✨ from Picky + SKIN1004! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. 

•Description•
The ampoule is formulated with Centella Asiatica [77%]  to reduce inflammation and soothe skin, as well as Niacinamide to brighten and moisturize and Tranexamic Acid to counteract hyperpigmentation and fade dark spots.

•Initial Observations•
The ampoule is packaged in a weighty glass bottle and packaged with a nice glass dropper. The dropper is perfect for picking up and dispensing an adequate amount of product with one dip from bottle. It was anchored with care in the product box and arrived safely. 

•Results•
I start by dispensing a dropper full of the ampoule directly onto the skin of my face and distribute evenly across my cheeks, nose, forehead, chin and then down my neck using smooth, light strokes. I then pat softly on my skin and let it rest for a few moments. The ampoule contains micro beads that burst when applied. The skin is left feeling somewhat tacky for a minute or two. I noticed no fragrance. After allowing the product to settle, I proceed with my normal makeup routine.

•Verdict• 
The ampoule works well together with the toner and I had not issues with irritation or purging. My moisturizer, sunscreen, and makeup products layered well with the new products and I had no ill effects at all. 

I do feel that the ampoule is a good value and will certainly last a long time.
