I'm from the PH and I'm currently looking for physical sunscreens. Chemical ones make me oily and sometimes leave my skin flushed from irritation.

Physical Sunscreen recommendations?

Cons:
1. It didn&#39;t do much for lightening the severe hyperpigmentation from a pimple I got, just very minimally. But this didn&#39;t really bother me?

When used with the unscented recovery cream:

My skin became way softer and smoother. But what I didn&#39;t expect (nor understand) was smaller pores after I started using the cream day and night (w&#47;o the serum).

Pairing the serum with the cream maximized that effect.

Overall, it&#39;s a pretty no-fuss serum. I&#39;d recommend it to pretty much anyone because it&#39;s rly versatile regardless of weather and time of the day. Its hydration properties are pretty great too. I&#39;d especially recommend it to anyone with a damaged skin barrier because the ingredients, especially the centella extract, are really beneficial. I didn&#39;t mind that it didn&#39;t lighten my pimple mark significantly, I just want extra hydration and a healthier skin barrier, but it seemed to go beyond that since my skin texture improved.

Hands down a 5&#47;5 for me.

🌿Centella Unscented Serum🌿

First off, the texture deserves some praise bc although it&#39;s slightly viscous, it&#39;s light, watery and easy to spread. It goes on smoothly and doesn&#39;t leave a sticky feel. A single pump is enough for the entire face.

The winning points are its ingredients. It contains niacinamide (2%), ceramides, peptides, madecassic acid, and centella asiatica extract (49%). So if you&#39;re into calming skincare or have a damaged barrier, this one would suit your skin type. 

Here are some observations I made after a week of usage (before I used the recovery cream):

Pros:
1. The serum is perfect to wear even in the daytime. It doesn&#39;t leave the face oily or sticky. Plus absorption is fast.
2. Perfect for hydration. I use this at night (paired with cosrx balancium cream) to combat dryness caused by the AC, and my skin felt a lot more plump compared to using the balancium cream alone. 
3. Oiliness during the daytime is more controlled when using this (used w&#47; celeteque&#39;s hydration moisturizer)
4. Skin texture improved. It feels smoother and a bit plumper.

Cons:
I think it just depends on the skin type. 

I use this as I have dehydrated&#47;oily skin that likes to change a lot, but it still does well.

Sometimes I&#39;m dry skinned, or my skin is really textured. And there are instances when this product doesn&#39;t work on me as well as it usually does, but overall, it always does great for me.

Pros:
If you&#39;re dry skinned, this restores moisture well. It dries down to a matte finish which is really oil-free, but may be heavy for some in the daytime, so night-time is the best time for this moisturizer. I sometimes use this in the daytime though, depending on my skin&#39;s needs.

It moisturizes well in cold temperatures too. It&#39;s occlusive and emollient, which does well against TEWL.

It made my skin softer and reduced hyper-pigmentation in some areas of my face, and to a certain extent, helped reduced textured skin bc of how emollient it is. It also helped balance the oiliness of my skin when I was truly oily. I always wake up to a bit of oil on my skin after I wake up, but that&#39;s a natural occurence regardless of the product I use.

I also noticed that my skin barrier&#39;s gotten strong because of this, evidenced by the way my skin no longer reacts badly to other moisturizers. Must be the centella leaf water in this?

Cons:
Although this product lightened my eye area, it didn&#39;t really get rid of the developing fine lines I kept having. It just seemed to keep it from developing further, which is not a con but not really a pro either. 

The fragrance is also something I didn&#39;t like. But still tolerable.

Absorption rate could be better and this gel could be lighter, especially if you moisturize after putting on eye cream. 

Though it&#39;s quite hydrating, it doesn&#39;t deliver superb effects like actually diminishing fine lines.

Pros:
It&#39;s moisturizing though, and you actually really do see results in a week, since this actually lightened my under eye area. 

The gel slides on easily and has high spreadability, which is pretty economical because its absorption rate isn&#39;t really fast. It just kinda sits on for a minute or two. It&#39;s okay though since you can tell how much product has been spread.

Cons:
Scent is overwhelming.

Irritated my skin and it gives a somewhat tacky finish. I really dislike the feel and texture when I put this on.

It honestly looks oily for me. So the dewy finish may not be such a great thing for some.

And although the whitecast is less noticeable as it dries, it may or may not be tolerable for some. I&#39;m on the lighter side, but this isn&#39;t too bad although it&#39;d be better if they tone the whitecast down.

Using unfiltered photos. Flashback of whitecast may not ne accurate.

Pros:
whitecast becomes less noticeable as it dries down. 

It&#39;s really waterproof. I notice it somewhat controls the sebum production on my face too?

High spf and it really stays. You&#39;ll need an oil cleanser to get rid of this one.

Cons:
If you have textured skin, the finish of this on your face may feel a little grainy. However, the powder itself is light and soft. So that won&#39;t be much of a problem since you won&#39;t touch your face.

I try not to use too much of this though, since it tends to make my face look a bit flat because it  make my face look matte.


NOT a con (for me):
 It&#39;s a bit of a sad case that with those whose philtrums sweat a lot, this tends to wipe off along with the sweat. But this wasn&#39;t a factor in my ratings, since this product doesn&#39;t target sweat.

Pros:
It really controls excess sebum! When I oil up, I dab this on. 

It actually ends up controlling my sebum throughout the day, maybe because I&#39;m not extremely oily? 

It also gives a slight blurring effect.
