hi friends!! i’ve recently gotten into skincare & i feel like i still have so many questions! one of the big ones is do i need to/should i apply moisturizer under my spf?? i’ve seen a few posts recently where people skip moisturizer in their morning routines & go straight to spf. what is the purpose of that, can i do that without harming my skin, & would it help my spf dry down more matte? thank you in advance for your help :’)

what do you all think about the title “holy grail” given to products? i feel like i see people giving that status out left & right & im like i thought the point of a “holy grail” product was that it’s the one product you can’t live without?? not just that new sunscreen that worked for you? it seems overused to me but i’ve just been thinking about it & wondered what you all thought!

this serum isn’t particularly hydrating for my skin, so i do tend to pair it with another product that provides more hydration. i also patch tested this serum for about four days on my inner arm &amp; cheek to ensure i wouldn’t have a negative reaction!

i’ve been LOVING the effects of this serum! i’ve applied it in the morning to give my skin a boost of luminosity as well as in the evenings to help heal any blemishes. i prefer applying it at night because i wake up with reduced redness &amp; skin that looks so healthy!

nothing bad persay, but it’s a little boring honestly! 

this is super gentle but effective! it has a really thick, almost pasty texture but it lathers well into a gentle foam with a light earthy scent. 

besides some tingling, i haven’t experienced any negative effects!

this TINGLED the first time i used it &amp; i was super nervous to keep using it. when i tried it again, though, it felt totally fine! as i only exfoliate 2-3 times per week, i haven’t used this as much as the other products but i do notice my skin is smoother &amp; the bumps around my jaw seem to be getting smaller! PLEASE make sure you patch test this before you try it out!

on the other hand, the pH of this cleanser is pretty high at 8, which isn’t ideal for skin. it also contains a HUGE ingredient list with lots of botanical extracts that i really don’t know if they’re doing anything important.

i have mixed feelings about this cleanser. on one hand, i love how my skin has reacted to this cleanser. the foam is so silky &amp; smells so good, &amp; green tea is such a good ingredient. my skin feels brighter &amp; clearer &amp; so clean but not stripped when i use it &amp; i LOVE a self foaming cleanser.

this toner does contain peppermint oil &amp; witch hazel extracts, so folks with sensitivities to essential oils would definitely need to patch test.

i’ve really enjoyed this exfoliant! it’s kept my skin quite clear &amp; the blackheads on my nose are slowly but surely going away. i don’t experience any redness or irritation after use, but it does tingle slightly upon application.
