I know American skinfluencers and TikTok hype CeraVe products a lot and always describe them as skincare holy grails and must-haves.

What do you think of CeraVe, which of their products do you like or dislike?

(I'm not the biggest fan of the brand tbh, all the products I tried either clogged my pores, dried my skin out or did not stand out to me at all so that the hype seemed unjustified to me)

Which products make your skin glow like crazy?

In recent years, fragrance and perfume has been heavily demonized in skincare products and many very famous skinfluencers always say to not use perfumed products - but what are your thoughts on fragrance in skin care?

I personally prefer face skin care without fragrance, because the smells overpower my nose quickly if they're too strong, but if it's just a little perfume, then i don't mind it because i'm not allergic or sensitive to it. For body products, I don't mind fragrance at all.

How long do Picky Squad applications take to be reviewed?

⚡️ the container is kind of unsanitary, because you have to dip your fingers in to get product out. Washing your hands before using this cream and/ or using a spatula is a must!

🧖🏻‍♀️ what it promises to do: moisturize dry skin + lock in moisture long term to provide it all day long resulting in smooth, refreshed and even skin while not clogging the pores

🗝️ key ingredients: pure hyaluronic acid and plant derived trehalose

🧴 texture, packaging, price: the formula is oil- and fragrance free, making it suitable for sensitive and oily skin. due to the high amount of silicones in the products inci, it has a milky white color and gel-like texture which feels soft and refreshing on the skin and instantly makes it feel smooth. the cream absorbs instantly into the skin and comes in a 50ml plastic container with a screw lid. It cost 9.99€ and is available at every drugstore - it's not cheap, but also not overly expensive.

👱🏻‍♀️ my experiences: i love this as a moisturizer during summer because its jelly texture makes it feel so refreshing. i also love this in my morning routine under sunscreen. it applies easily and absorbs instantly, resulting in my skin feeling plump, smooth and soft without ever irritating it, causing breakouts or making it feel sweaty/itchy. i like how it keeps the moisture locked in all day long and works perfectly as a primer under makeup.

⚡️ the dropper has a hard time with picking up and dispensing product, a pump bottle would probably work better
⚡️ the serum feels a little sticky and heavy on the skin, but that feeling goes away after you put moisturizer.

🧖🏻‍♀️ what it promises to do: control sebum production, keep the skin hydrated, improving inflamed skin

🗝️ key ingredients: 60% propolis paired with 2% niacinamide and glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and tons of good plant extracts (centella asiatica, green tea, turmeric etc.)

🧴 texture, packaging: the serum has a honey/golden-ish color and is pretty thick for a serum. it features no fragrance and comes in a dropper bottle. i got it for around 8-9€, so it is quite affordable.

👱🏻‍♀️ my experiences: this serum gave me the most insane and radiant glow i ever had on my skin, with just 2-3 drops of it! it lasted for hours. after a 3 weeks of using it at least once daily, i noticed that my pores are less congested, they appear a bit tinier and that my skin is brighter and more radiant overall and less uneven. I learned to really love the niacinamide/propolis combo! the hydrating and calming effects + the glow it leaves on the skin are instantly noticeable, though. it absorbs pretty quickly, especially if you put moisturizer on top.

⚡️ what i did not like: with 30-40€ for 50ml of essence, it is not exactly the most affordable product! But for me, it's worth every cent and I would rebuy it.

🧖🏻‍♀️ what it promises to do: a serum/essence/exfoliator in one product that is supposed to intensely nourish + moisturize the skin, gently remove dead skin cells, strenghten and repair skin barrier, regulate sebum production and even out skin tone. That's a lot of promises!

🗝️ key ingredients: 100% ferments from pomegranate, barley seed, pear juice and soybean

🧴 texture, packaging, price: 50ml glass bottle with a plastic pump that dispenses the products evenly and easily. it costs between 30-40€/$. the essence itself is on the thicker/juicier side, with a yellow color and a natto-like, stringy texture (similar to the cosrx snail mucin). it has no fragrance, is non-sticky (despite the stringy texture) and absorbs immediately.

👱🏻‍♀️ my experiences: i used this essence every evening after preparing my skin with toner. it immediately hydrated and soothed my skin no matter how dry it was + it did not burn on my skin. my skin felt significantly smoother and hydrated the next morning and it was left with a nice and healthy glow and actually evened out skin texture. i was pleasantly surprised by the products texture, which at first i thought to be sticky and slimy - but it sinks in immediately and does not feel nasty at all. for me,  this essence does keep all of its promises, but due to its mildly exfoliating effects, i would not use it more than once a day. all in all, i am absolutely in love with this product!

🫧 leaves no greasy/sticky residue and no film
🫧 washes off easily and quickly 
🫧 skin feels soft and clean after using
🫧 great gentle morning cleanser or as a 2nd step in a double cleanse


⚡️Nevertheless, this product did unfortunately not work that well for me because it clogs my pores a lot and caused me to get lots of whiteheads whenever i used it on my face. 
i finished this product as a hand cream and that worked perfectly for my dry hands! 
I would suggest this for dry and sensitive skin that is not clog-prone, especially in the colder months.

🧴 texture, packaging, price: the formula is definitely rich and the texture is thick, buttery and velvety - but it still softly melts into your skin and leaves it feeling intensely hydrated and nourished. it leaves a nice protective layer on the skin without being greasy or sticky. the moisturizer comes in a 50ml plastic container with a screw on/lid cap which dispenses the product easily and is very hygienic. with a price point of ~5,95€  and its availability in most drugstores it is definitely an affordable product.

👱🏻‍♀️ my experiences: i love the texture of this product and that it is thick and creamy without feeling nasty on the skin. a little bit of product goes a long way and i really feel like it keeps my skin moisturized and protected throughout the entire day, especially during the colder winter months.
