Sunscreen is white in color with a light creamy lotion consistency. No fragrance My Experience: This is a hybrid sunscreen that includes some nice ingredients that provides hydration and sun protection. I prefer sunscreens with the newer filters not available in the US as i find they work better on my skin without a heavy feel. This is super lightweight and spreads easily, absorbing into skin quickly without a greasy finish. There is no white cast on my skin & it isn’t sticky either. I find that it gives a dewy, slightly glowy appearance on my skin. It is easy to reapply and layers well with other products. I did not experience any burning around my eye area either. I would definitely repurchase as it is great for everyday use. However it is not water ir sweat resistant so keep that in mind if you do strenuous outdoor activities.

It glides easily onto the skin and absorbs into skin quickly, without any stickiness or greasy feel. It doesn’t feel heavy on my skin either. The finish is very dewy, so I think this is best for normal to dry skin folks. I like how I can skip using moisturizer in warmer months when using this sunscreen. There is absolutely no white cast and it provides long lasting moisture. I love how it doesn’t sting eyes, doesn’t pill when using with other products, and very easy to reapply. I’ve used this one before (in old packaging) when it first came out & remember how much I love it! Was happy to get a new one!

I really like this Japanese sunscreen although the bottle is only 40ml in size. I got this in Japan as it was super cheap, but I have seen it on YesStyle before. It provides SPF50+ PA++++ protection and is a hybrid sunscreen with 3 sunscreen filters: ☀️ Zinc Oxide ☀️ Octinoxate ☀️ Uvinul A Plus Other ingredients include Glycerin, 2 types of Hyaluronic Acids, Hydrolyzed Collagen and Arginine. Unlike other Japanese sunscreens, this one has no alcohol. This is a sunscreen emulsion, meaning it has a more watery texture than some other sunscreens. Before applying, you need to shake well, or you will have a watery mess. There is a little ball inside the bottle to mix the Sunscreen. I usually shake for about 30 seconds before I start applying to my skin. It has a milky, runny texture, that initially seems a little bit greasy, but as it dries down it leaves a satin finish. I can feel a very thin film on my skin, but I think it is like that due to the sweat resistant properties. You definitely need to double cleanse to ensure that you remove it completely. Although it contains zinc oxide, it surprisingly doesn’t have any white cast on the skin. I like using this as a primer because it doesn’t pill and works well with other products. This sunscreen works well for me, as it is water and sweat resistant, great for humid summer weather. I purchased the 2023 version last year when visiting Japan as it was less than $7.

This sunscreen is their 1st skincare product and is formulated for sensitive skin. Sun cream is white with a thicker, creamy texture, with no fragrance. My Experience: I generally prefer using sunscreens with more of a lotion texture, but I enjoy using this one while the weather is colder. It feels very soothing and moisturizing after applying. Despite being a thicker consistency, it is easy to apply and absorbs quickly without any greasy or sticky feel. There is no white cast and it leaves my skin with a natural dewy finish. It works well with other products without pilling and doesn’t sting my eye area. I don’t know of any other sunscreen using Noni extract (good for sunburn) which along with Cica helps soothe & repair skin. Those with oily or combination skin could use this as both a moisturizer and sunscreen, since the Hyaluronic Acid & Ceramides hold in moisture. I think it is great for dry skin and I’d definitely repurchase.

I like how it has a lightweight, fluid milky texture and glides on easily with no sticky residue. You need to shake it before use or it is a little runny. It has a nice scent (a little fruity due to added fragrance) that fades after applying. There is a slight initial white cast on my skin (I have light skin) but it fades quickly after blending in. It leaves a nice matte finish that makes my skin look smooth and I experienced no pilling when applying makeup after. On my skin I find it is water-resistant but not sweat proof.

Has twist up button at bottom. Sunscreen looks yellow in tube, but goes on clear. Has slight sunscreen smell but not really noticeable. My Experience: I apply a full amount of sunscreen every morning so I only use sunsticks for reapplication during the day. I lightly drag this sunscreen across my face to apply. It goes on clear without any white cast. I really like the curved shape, making it easy to apply around the eye and nose contours. I only use this stick on my face, but it can be used for applying to the body too. After applying, my skin has a slightly dewy but satin finish. It doesn’t smudge my makeup either, provided I gently drag across my face. Oily skin or those living in very humid climates may experience a more glowing or oily finish, but it is a great sunscreen for dry skin. I like how hydrating and moisturizing my skin feels, but it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky. This is one of the best sunsticks I’ve tried in a while and I would definitely repurchase.

It is very calming & soothing with a glowing finish & no white cast. It does contain Alcohol, Lavender Oil & only 970ppm Centella Asiatica which I thought was interesting since the brand focuses on Centella in the product name, but it is towards the bottom of the ingredient list. It has a distinctive lavender scent from the Lavender EO as well as added fragrance. I personally don’t mind alcohol in sunscreens for texture reasons, plus it doesn’t irritate my skin, but it might be irritating if you have sensitive skin. This felt nice without burning or stinging, and I like how it has some great filters for UVA/UVB protection, but there are other sunscreens that I like better so I probably wouldn’t purchase.

The BOJ sunscreen contains 4 of these filters and I have seen several Influencers rave about it all over Instagram. I personally have been using this sunscreen daily for the past 2 weeks. It has a light creamy texture & melts into the skin like a lotion as it dries down. I do not notice a white cast on my skin, but I’m pretty light so darker skin tones may notice one. My skin feels soft and hydrated after applying with no greasy feel. However, my skin leans dry so I use a moisturizer before applying this sunscreen. But if you have oily or combination skin, you may be able to skip moisturizer, especially in the summer months. My skin looks slightly dewy with sort of a semi-matte finish. I did not experience any irritation or burning around my eyes, but my experience may be different than others. I like how there is no noticeable scent – most of the other sunscreens I’ve used have either a medicine or citrus fragrance. It does contain alcohol for that elegant texture found in other Asian sunscreens, so be aware. So far I like this sunscreen but my only complaint is how fast I am going through the tube 😊. Like other Korean sunscreens, it is 50ml but seems smaller. I will continue using before deciding if I would repurchase as I do have other sunscreens I prefer.

I got this in the mini 20ml size to try as it was quite expensive, even in Japan (I think it was equivalent of $30 for 50ml) and has a protection level of SPF50+ PA++++. It is water and sweat resistant for up to 80 minutes. I believe this was an older version as Japanese sunscreens tend to be renewed every couple of years. I believe the latest version no longer contains Octinoxate. I’m not sure if mine is the 2020 or 2021 version, but I got this on YesStyle so don’t know. This is a Sun milk that has a watery consistency best for dry skin. It has a ball inside the bottle to mix the product prior to applying to the face (or body). It is a white milky Sun milk with a fruity floral scent. I can feel a slightly oily film on the skin as it dries down, leaving a powdery finish on the skin. I did notice a slight white cast, but that faded quickly. This stuff doesn’t budge in hot weather against sweat or in water, so great for outdoors. I’m glad I was able to try this, but there are other less expensive alternatives. Did not burn my eyes or irritate my skin.
