I’ll share my thoughts as someone working in marketing.
So “paid partnership” tag is used for transparency reason. Technically, this feature should be used for all content that have been sponsored by a brand or partner, in your case that’s Some By Mi and Picky respectively. This covers all kinds of sponsorship arrangement therefore is not limited to contracts involving cash or cash equivalent.
Tagging your review as “paid partnership” is not misleading the public that you’ve been paid in cash or cash equivalent, it’s actually a way to be transparent with your followers or anyone who will see your post that there’s an internal agreement between you and the brand. It’s the same thing as influencers sharing in their post an honest clause that states something like “the product is provided by the brand for free in exchange for my honest review”.
This is an important declaration, because we want to avoid issues of “paid reviewers” who didn’t actually use the product enough to give an objective review.
Hope this helps!

I just want to add that there’s a loophole to “paid partnership” agreements. In your case, I’d say that your agreement is with picky and not directly with the brand unless otherwise stated in your agreement with picky. Paid partnership agreements are done before the actual engagement and of course should be agreed on by all parties involved.
If you are really not comfortable, then you should review the agreement that you had with picky regarding this or easiest is to just message them with your questions.

Ruth shared in her IG story some info on why giveaways are declared paid partnership, as per IG's guidelines.

Like the answers above, “paid” is not limited to cash - it can mean free or discounted products too.
If you’re a minimalist, I think using “#ad” is enough just make sure it’s near the top of your post.
Here’s a link to the FTC guide on disclosures:
https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/documents/plain-language/1001a-influencer-guide-508_1.pdf
The guide applies to people abroad too since these sponsored posts will affect consumers in the US.

I’m quite new here, didn’t know about this event. May I know how many product(s) were sent to you for review?
If there is only one product, then I’m actually quite shock to see a couple of pages of guidelines then requires you to adhere to when writing your review!
I do understand that the purpose for these brands to send us free product in exchange of reviews but a couple of pages seems a bit overwhelming.
And yea, I too feeling uncomfortable with the label of “paid partnership”, we don’t get paid to write our review of the product, what we got was the FOC product in exchange of honest review 🤔

I’m pretty sure FTC guidelines would dictate that you only need to write “product received for free in exchange for my honest review,” that is the wording that many of the top influencers use.
